They say food can bring you back to your childhood. They say smell can bring your mind back to past memories almost lost. They say our pupils dilate as we behold perceived beauty. The trip I experience every time I visit this cultural hub is is nothing short of euphoric as every one of my senses gets titilated and my mind is flooded by memories lost. Truley a place for any occasion and a gem proudly displayed for any worthy of witnessing her glory.
I'd been planning to travel from Australia just to experience the magic firsthand. I've now been informed that Turbo Island has fallen victim to the cruel mistress that is gentrification! However, as Solomon the son of David once said; the fire which sits atop a slab of recently paved concrete will burn the hottest!
Beautiful wildlife and natural scenery. Great place for a family outing . Many fond memories here. Such a shame to hear the landowner is going to ruin this historic landmark - make your trip whilst unspoiled
The heroin was sublime. The rustic and old timey furniture let me melt. A fire pit to keep your feet warm. Music from local talent. What more can you ask for
Looking for a delightful Island getaway? Well this unspoilt gem is for you. Escape the crowds of corfu and the rowdiness of ayia napa and bathe in the tranquility of Turbo Island...something for everyone, no matter what you're on. Well done management . Playground: The broken trolley go carts are magnificent Restrooms: Just unzip and go wherever you want Dog-friendliness: Badly behaved dogs are more than welcome. Picnic area: Wow, just wow.
Turbo Island is a great place to relax with my friends round a wood fire after a long day shouting at passing traffic. Special praise for the owner's Covid measures, they've provided a number of chairs carefully spaced around the island for covid-secure consumption of a bevvy or three. To close: you'll always find a home on Turbo Island
Really enjoyed our stay at Turbo Island. Thanks to Rachael and Tim for making us feel so at home.
A spiritual locus of Bristol. Though freshly tarmacked by babylon in an attempt to quell local movements of celebration and ceremony, all word from the native underground proffers that Turbo Island still retains much juju below. It seems 'Vibes' from all the many fireside meetings have been unintentionally set in stone by recent resurfacement. This is further fostering toward gravities of autonomous anarcho-lore, that is, a very serious situation of free-state playtime. If seeking an authentic welcome from Island relatives, we offer it a wise look to greet with some symbol of veneration fashioned before arrival. Visitors are advised not to forget your towel.
Perfect if you into cheap drinks, local music, and a jolly ol' time.
Words cannot describe how life changing this experience was. They have a unique service where they free you of your 1st-world gadgets and possessions to make you realise that material things don't matter. They were so sure of this service that they never even gave them back to me! Truly eye-opening
