This ancient Chapel is in the heart of Bristol and well worth a visit, to attend a concert there is a treat, Choir and Organ performance to be treasured.
I went to visit in 1990 , I remember the priest sat next to me and prayed to comfort me when he discovered my wife died three weeks before, I was so comforted by his generous gesture and kindness, It didn’t matter to him I was a Muslim
Interesting historical site. A lot of the fixtures and fittings from its 800+ year history are still in place. The footprint of the chapel shows how its built into the hill that the cathedral, and the choir school were built on and all the wine cellars such as Harvey's were built into. I found the people looking after the chapel knew a lot of the interesting development of the docks in the centre many of which have been filled in .
Super candle lit service. Sets the scene for Christmas.
Lovely place to visit, daughter loves it.
Remember going to a service here with when it was the new mayor at the time and I will with the youth parliament
So beautiful just a lovely restful place to be
