We all had fish and chips which were cooked to perfection the batter was nice and crispy and the cod tasty the chips were really nice nit overcooked and not greasy.
Sweet little spot just across the hotel we were staying at. Portions are huge and the owner is very friendly and courteous. Fish was cooked perfectly and the batter was yummy and crisp as can be. Lovely lunch spot!
Very nice fish and chips. Called in just before closing and although they had some chips ready they decided they had been there too long and cooked some fresh just for our order. It's little bits like this that show a good place to go. They could after all served up the chips they had and called it a day, but that extra bit of trouble they took was appreciated and we will be back again.
I think this is the best fish and chip shop in town, but recent couple of meals has been poor. Savaloys are brown inside and have a pink strip running through it. Looks like they have been cooked for weeks but just sat there. Huge bit of gristle in mine last time too. Curry sauce is getting runner, and bearing in mind, tuckers aren't cheap. My past couple of experiences has convinced me to use the other fish and chip shop in town until tuckers standards get back to the level they used to be.
This place is very good,quick service and delicious food,nice and clean, friendly staff , quick delivery times ,and their cod is very tasty,chips are nice as well,highly recommend to come to tuckers fish and chips,I would certainly come every day The new chef is clearly very experienced as well
Had to order over £20 which is hard for just 2 people, then when it arrived was asked for another £3 which wasn't mentioned on phone! Also, fish tasted old & chips were almost cold
Not the best but certainly not the worst. Forgot the mushy peas, which annoyed me when I got home. The portion of large chips was monster and I mean monster. However, asked for large cod got a medium bit which was cooked well and a small bit which was cooked too well. If your hungry defo go here but check your order before you leave!
