A good local wine bar with friendly staff and a welcoming attitude from the regulars. We visited on a very random quiz night where an eccentric local lady asked questions like "where do I keep my photographs in my bedroom?" And "where did I visit last year that I liked?" It was an unusual experience but fun. The drinks were reasonably priced and it was easy to find somewhere to sit. We didn't eat but the food looked pretty good.

Oscars is always good fun and extremely good value. You never go away hungry and the portions are massive. Not to mention the. decent beer as well. The staff are friendly and help to make a unique experience. Thank you.

The food isn’t actually that bad but their customer service is pretty disappointing! As a customer (who works in a restaurant) I know how difficult customers can be. The fact is the food was fatty - EVERYONE at my table complained about it and encouraged me to speak up, so I did, only to be dismissed and told that no one had ever complained before, implying I was just being difficult. I then found a hair which was initially acknowledged but then later denied by staff! I literally can’t believe how disgusting they were,which only infuriated me more! It was the attitude of the woman behind the bar and the chef (who I was told was kicking off in the kitchen about it) it was all so unprofessional and childish! After mentioning to several people about my experience it seems that the chef is known for his temper tantrums and lack of customer focus, although I only have my own experience to comment on I certainly won’t be returning (something they probably don’t care less about). It’s a shame because it could be such a great place if they changed their attitude, as I said, the food wasn’t terrible but their service was, I just wish I’d taken photos!!

Very characterfull place. Friendly staff. Unfortunately there is a very bad problem with the glass washer which is obviously siphoning back foul water and smelling awful. There doesn't seem to be any effort to get the problem sorted. A great shame as everything else is quite good.

One of Crewkerne's finest instituitions. Great food at affordable prices especially Sunday Lunch. You just have to go there and find out for yourself!
