Had to make a same day appointment for my young daughter yesterday. We saw Emma the paramedic and she was brilliant with her. Lovely, friendly and put my daughter at ease. Prescribed antibiotics for her. Brilliant service.
On the phone waiting to find out how I can book an appointment for a flu and COVID booster jab as I am asthmatic to be told I am not eligible because I don’t have a green tick on my homepage! Receptionist then telling me they will contact admin and they would get back to me in due course…. Then tell me I can book an appointment but it’s likely I won’t get the jabs if I turn up. Laughing not laughing! Trying to remain healthy and consider preventative measures to avoid utilising the NHS so that those in need can be tended too. Please be proactive and not reactive!
The most horrible service you will get from those receptionist they think they own the surgery and act like Docters and keeps on giving you wrong advice. I wouldn’t recommend this surgery to anyone to join this surgery definitely needs fixing up big time.
Following an emergency appointment and a short admission to Hospital, I have been treated with kindness by everyone at this Health Centre and had treatment from an excellent Doctor. I send my grateful thanks.
I've been to this doctors no more than 3 times in the past 2 years and still can never get an appointment. Absolute joke.
The doctors I have spoken to are fine on the phone but how do they know what you are saying is even true via a phone call? ! I was shocked when I joined the surgery that basically every single appointment has to be made online by the doclink online 'diagnostic' system service so please please consider that before registering here ... It's like 30 questions before they even consider you to be valid enough for a call from the doctor or nurse. Often, they don't even acknowledge if you need an appointment or not due to the online system.I have never ever seen a doctor here face to face its all on the phone which is mind blowing
Brilliant service from Trowbridge Health Centre: contacted them at 3pm yesterday - receptionist phoned back at 4.30 and arranged a telephone appointment at 5.30pm. This happened bang on time and prescription arranged immediately after detailed empathetic consutlation. Then collected a specimen jar after 6pm as instructed from very helpful receptionist. Could not have been a better experience, well done and thanks to all at THC.
My mother has an ongoing medical issue that has not been straightforward in both diagnosis & treatment. The reception team at Trowbridge medical centre have been amazing throughout this stressful time. If it wasn’t for their hard work, empathy & diligence mum wouldn’t be managing her illness as well as she is, they have been fantastic & a credit to the practice. Also a huge thankyou to the medical team, particularly Dr Foggett who truly listened & gave support.
Having had two calls and then receiving a message telling me to attend the surgery, I arrived only to be told it was a telephone appointment only. I showed them the message they had sent yet no apology. In fairness the staff were not rude, but no solution offered. I work and need to plan my week to great detail, yet it seems irrelevant to those who send out appointments that their errors cost us time, money and in my case today pain and anxiety.
The only reason this has got 2 stars is because of the few clinical staff and the pharmacists. The receptionists on the other hand, no thank you! I was picking up a prescription for someone ordered on the Monday it’s Friday to be told by the pharmacy to see reception as it’s not on their system, they refused to help and pretty much say I lied and how it had not happened, I stressed it was for a lady with bad depression who ran out of antidepressants today was requested Monday in advanced they didn’t even care even knowing how potentially dangerous that could be. I was left physically sick and shaking at how disgusting and vile two people could be! Wouldn’t even help organise an emergency prescription after losing hers! Thank you 111 for saving the day. Honestly the pharmacy team were supportive and couldn’t help more the moody and rude receptionists is were my problem lies and lack of mental health awareness and support! I’m sure that’s in training but clearly not listened to!
