As a family we enjoyed our time here however I think that was more us enjoying each others company rather than the park itself. The animals were generally kept in good conditions and it was nice to see some of the wildlife that we wouldn't usually see. (My son loved the Fish and Nocturnal areas) The play area is great, my son loved the ball pit! However the cafe and food was well below par! Upon visiting the monkeys there was no footpath provided so we had to walk across a boggy field. On the return journey the field was so muddy it pulled my shoes off, I then had to walk through the rest of the mud in just my socks. I headed to the restrooms to try and dry my feet but there was wee all over the floor in the gents. Headed to the baby changing room (with my baby son) and the dryer was out of order. I had to drive home with no shoes, socks or trousers as they were so covered in mud. Completely ruined the day... hence the two star score.

Wonderful day out that our family thoroughly enjoyed. Fab exhibits and layout. Food in the cafe was tasty, fresh, and very reasonably priced. It doesn't look much when you pull up on the car park as it is a disused BBC building, but do not let the outside put you off! We had a fantastic day. 😀 Ollie the blue macaw is just darling! I even bought a fluffy one to bring home with me, as I'd fallen in love with the little guy. 😍

Fascinating place run by lovely people who are passionate about their animals. The nocturnal house is new since I last went and has some very interesting animals I have not seen before, like Genet's, civets and little gliding mouse like creatures. Feeding time for the otters was hilarious, those little critters love their food, and like to tell the world about it. All 5 of us got to handle a snake and a lizard. It not huge, flashy and doesn't have every species of a larger zoo, but what they do have is interesting and well cared for.

Yes the place needs money spent on it. But....... We had a lovely time and the kids thoroughly enjoyed it. The talks are great and very interesting the kids loved holding and touching snakes and lizards. The animals look well cared for and the enclosures look good.. I'm sure if the place had an injection of cash (donations or sponsorship) this would be spent on the animals and enclosures. Worth a visit the kids ( 5&3 ) loved it ... :)

Quirky and very interesting the staff were excellent and very informative, friendly and answered all our questions. Loads to do for children with an imagination. Food was good and reasonably priced. Animals are well kept although enclosures could be a bit bigger and it's not somewhere where you could spend all day hence only 4 stars. Overall happy and would definitely go back. P.s look out for Olly the parrot!
