Troon Yacht Haven is a 400 berth marina located on the Southern Clyde Estuary of Scotland's West Coast. Opened in 1978, Troon is one of the longest established marinas in the country. Constantly updated Troon Yacht Haven now boasts some of the finest facilities including the award winning Scotts Restaurant.

Friendly enough staff .. reasonable toilet / shower facilities on site but my crew weren't happy with the communial changing area .. restaurant / bar too noisy with piped music .. made to sit on a stool at a high table in an almost empty bar when proper tables were available - not great if you're feeling your age! .. the visitors pontoon per se no longer exists - contrary to all the blurb that we could find on the place - so you do need to ring ahead .. can end up waiting off if the big ferry is coming in and maneuvering - watch for the lights
Surveyed an Ovni 35 Sonate with sea trials here. A really nice marina with friendly and helpful staff. The restaurant up stairs is very good. A great day. Thank you goes to all involved.
We wintered our boat at Troon and could not get back to our boat in a timely manner. Our boat was well looked after. Troon was fair and helpful in sorting all our repair needs. The facilities are top notch and we have traveled from Canada. We highly recommend this Marina. The location is awesome. Close to Ireland and easy access to Glasgow or the inner Hebrides.
Love it, love it, love it. What's not to like? It's got parking, a restaurant, the marina is secure, the toilets/showers are excellent.
'Serene' seems a fitting word for this place
