Went for Dinner last night with my partner .Been going here for a few years and staff and food always excellent.Unfortunately last nights dinner disappointed me .I asked for Prawn dinner and was served a lot of chips which took up the bulk of the plate and a few prawns on top .The last time I loved the Prawn dinner with rice and salad assumed same .I do not eat chips unfortunately! Asked if I could get another dinner without chips which came with a salad and was lovely .Was charged for 2 dinners .But manager eventually after speaking about the chip dinner deducted it from our bill .Thanks .And now barred ! It was not a complaint but My Dinner was 95% chips .Sorry but customer has to say and manager should not take it personal
Nice atmosphere. Very busy as bank holiday weekend. Good range of beers. Dog friendly, and it also has a beer garden. Didn't have anything to eat on this occasion, but everything that was served looked decent.
This place was exactly as the other reviews said which is why we went & I'm glad we did. Lovely staff, the waitress was trying to make my partner feel welcome by speaking a few words in Spanish, good food & service. Great location near our hotel as well. I'm usually very picky with eating beef but not one chewy bit. Lovely pint of home with Tennant's on draft too. The only thing is the feta salad had too much pomegranate for my taste but apart from that, great value. Come here if you're nearby, you won't be disappointed. Food only up until 8 though.
Staff were friendly, food was fast, place is dog friendly and there's a nice beer garden out the back.
WOW WOW WOW!!!! What an absolute diamond of a place!! Lovely quiet traditional pub, serving food that is from 4*+ restaurants. All freshly cooked, all piping hot, all full of flavours. So glad I don't live nearby as I would be here every night! Portions are amazing. Staff are so polite, friendly and helpful. Please please support this fantastic small pub
