Very nice place, very nice and friendly landlords/owners. We just came home after a well spent week in the little shippen cottage. Two of us and our dog Dublin enjoyed every single minute. Nice, clean and modern accomodation very close to the best dog friendly beaches of Cornwall. Thank you very much Faye and Mark for a wonderfull week... suddenly we comi g back

Stayed here with my toddler son last week April 2021 and we had a wonderful time. My son called it ‘the farm’ due to the play equipment, wildlife and chickens! The peaceful morning walks through the on-site forest trail were amazing and the cottage was immaculately clean and had everything we needed. There’s lots to do and see a short car drive away in all directions including beaches, attractions and scenic walks. A peaceful and relaxing oasis in Cornwall. Highly recommend.
We have just returned from these cottages having stayed in Shippen for 7 nights. First of all the cottage itself was beautiful, had a lovely log burner and had a very old school feel with some modern features like a big TV with Netflix etc, also the internet was surprisingly fast for the location I streamed my football teams 3pm Saturday kick off no problem. The kitchen was well stocked with everything you need. The grounds of the cottage are wonderfully set in the middle of some stunning woodland, there are even some sassy chickens which greet you every morning. Shared laundry and visitor information room too which is handy. The owners are friendly and are always on hand if needed. Lastly the location is perfect, 15 mins from Looe, same time to liskeard and surrounded by lots of places to visit and things to do. Our stay was honestly amazing, I couldn't rate this place any higher.
We stayed in the Barn cottage, which was lovely and big enough for us 3 adults. Everything you might need during your stay is included, kitchen is equipped with pots and pans to make breakfast and dinner if you feel like cooking. But it's a short drive to nearby towns too we recommend visiting Fowey. Very quiet and peaceful place full of character, with forest and a small stream almost at your door. Our dog enjoyed the stay as much as we did there is no phone signal there but WiFi was available. Overall it was a lovely place to stay.
We stayed at the Heul cottage on the 4th June for 7 days absolute bliss. Just step out of your cottage walk passed the chickens for morning walks with our dog in the forest along the stream. Or a short drive to the many coastal towns. Mark and Faye the owners are always available for any of your needs although we did not need them , all our needs were catered for . Will definitely visit here again soon .
Loved this place, we stayed "Little Shippen" Clean, nice bed, peacefull no phone signal. Had a niggle with the internet but a new wifi box sorted it. Chickens got us up tapping for breakfast on the French doors and followed us around for food... lovely. Sat on the loo had a feeling I was being watched ..... I was ....by a chicken. Herodsfoot has no pub: but that did not matter a beer/tea/coffee etc in garden is all we needed. Main question, would I go back........ without a dought....yes. Had three holidays here and stayed in a couple of the cottages. Lovely and welcoming and clean and peaceful. Loads of space for little ones and/or dogs to run wild and free and only ten minutes from the beach.
Tresarran Holiday Cottages are situated just outside of Herodsfoot, a village that time forgot a small distance from the picturesque Liskeard. In ever manner conceivable it is a home away from home, and my stay there was nothing short of the most comfortable, peaceful, and adorable experience one could ask for. The cottage in question, The Barn Cottage, had two floors with comfy beds and fresh linnen, a spacious kitchen that instantly felt like home, and a lovely living area that was as relaxing as a warm Cornish Sunday evening. The cottages are situated on a farm and the owners live on sight, and were immediately warm and welcoming, and we're always on hand for any queries or questions, or even just a chat. There are also very friendly chickens wandering around that are reminiscent of children's style story books, and love nothing more than coming to your door each morning with the hope of bread crumbs. The area surrounding the cottages is fantasy woodlands split by a babbling river, and we saw a vast array of beautiful wildlife, from deer and hedgehogs to buzzards and rabbits. Stay at this property if you dare, because you just might not want to ever leave.
We have just got back from a fabulous week at Tresarran Cottages. Having stayed here some 18 years ago it was nice to go back this time with our young children and dog, and for it to still be as lovely as we remembered it. The cottages are set in the most beautiful and peaceful surroundings, there are extensive grounds and woodland to explore and a play area for the children. The owners Faye and Mark are so welcoming and friendly, they are always on hand if needed and nothing is too much trouble. The cottage was very clean, well equipped and the beds were comfortable. There are free range chickens on site who were certainly one of the highlights of our week! They are so friendly and our children enjoyed feeding them, we were even lucky enough to enjoy some of the their eggs for breakfast on one of the days. Tresarran Cottages are in a tiny village, in rural Cornwall and really give you the feeling of being in the middle of nowhere- the perfect place to relax and unwind. Yet it is only a 20 minute or so drive to Looe or Polpero, and there is a shop and village 10 mins away. It is the perfect base to explore Cornwall, we definitely plan to stay again soon!
