Lovely location for a Travelodge, makes a nice alternative to being on the side of a dual carriageway! Staff were friendly and rooms clean and spacious. Plenty of places within walking distance to grab breakfast or dinner.Rooms: 5/5
Stopped over to be ready for a meeting early next day. Perfect room, quiet and spotlessly clean. Great value rates, and spot on for restaurants and the cinema. Will be booking again...Hotel highlightsQuiet, Great value
Bed was lovely wish I could say the same about the staff. I accidentally left my makeup bag in the bathroom and apparently the cleaner never handed it in. It also had my expensive charm in it. DONT EVER LEAVE ANYTHING BEHIND AND EXPECT THEM TO DO THE DECENT THING AND HAND IT IN SO IT CAN BE RETURNED. Clearly that will never happen here.Rooms: 4/5
Nice modern building, great view over Little Ouse River. The receptionist, Vicky, was very friendly and very helpful. The service here really exceeded my expectation, very well managed.
As usual a stifflingly hot experience due to Travel lodges not having aircon, although there is a noisy fan, the rooms are not serviced even if you put the thingy on the door handle before 11am, mine was put on at 7:45 but on return at 17:00 no towels had been changed and no tea, coffee or milk top ups. However even if they were replenished I would not of been able to make a coffee as the water had gone off! Which I found out mid shower as the pressure slowly dropped then stopped altogether! Apparently it would be a few hours before it comes back on according to reception, Great! So I remained dirty, hot, sweaty and thirsty. As for breakfast if you dislike flapjacks, pan au chocolate, and unbranded cornflakes then dont spend £5.50 on a breakfast box.
This stay has made me think twice about staying at Travelodge ever again. On arrival, staying two nights pre payed, were told our room was being cleaned, at 5 in the evening? Waited a while, listening to another customer who was told no room after he had booked and paid. Finally told we would be given a room to stop in while ours was finished cleaning. We told the receptionist, no we had just arrived on motorbikes and needed a shower. So we were taken to the third floor and passed the original room we were offered, which showed no sign of being cleaned, and let into another room and told she would drop a key off. Well that never happened and we had to ask again at reception when we went out later. Also the shower was dreadful, with water spouting out of every joint. We complained but saw no evidence of it having been looked at when we returned in the evening. I know these are budget hotels, but not this budget. Will think twice about stopping at Travelodge in the future.
Lovely Central location worth free parking and restaurants nearby. Not keen on the breakfast on a bag to your room optional extra. Clean serviceable comfortable, tired carpet. Good value and would stay againRooms: 4/5
A decent little hotel, small rooms, no microwaves or mini fridges. Great view on the Ouse River. Excellent service provided by Vicky upon check-in.Rooms: 3/5
About average Travel Lodge. Perfectly adequate, though not the best I've been in. Clean and spacious. Modern building. Area isn't great though. Reception is on first floor. Couldn't complain.
Typical travel lodge. Decent sized rooms that are clean and comfortable. Only 30 minutes freewifi Walkability: To Thetford Town centre
