Fabulous stay, comfy beds, power showers now which is great. Overall can’t fault facilities just what you need just to get your head down. Only wish they had plug sockets next to the bed to be able to charge phones etc. free parking too
Very pleasant stay with excellent facilities. Only marked down due to one little problem I encountered in my room. The staff on duty were excellent in resolving and apologetic. I would be happy to stay here again.
Great reception staff the guy with the north east accent !. He was very helpful giving us tips on local pizza restaurants and also providing wine glasses., . The room was clean but poor quality pillows and duvets. You don't expect the Ritz from Travel Lodge but it could feel more comfortable for little expenditure on their part.
Review is of travelodge in general not this hotel. Spent 2 hours yesterday trying to book a room but each time I pressed to process secure payment i was directed to a blank screen with access denied in small letters at the top. We tried another phone and with and without wifi. Same result. Tried again today same problem but price of room had gone up! Rang to try book in person and explained all this but booking person refused to honour yesterday's price despite my failure to book being the fault of their website. Shabby
Booked for 2 nights starting on Feb 12th, the bathroom in our room had hair on the floor, toilet and shower tub. The receptionist offered to exchange our room which we accepted. However the bed in the new room was very bad, I went to the receptionist to explain we can't take the new room and cleaned the dirt myself in the initial room so we could stay there. Instead of apologies she gave me a rude look. Very disappointed with the cleanliness and customer service here.
As always with Travelodge we were greeted with a friendly smile . Room was spotless .Great view of the river and the bed was so comfortable . Nearby activities: Weatherspoons is next door and M&S over the road .
2nd time I've stayed here, excellent value, comfy rooms, good location, plenty of bars, restaurants, shops etc within walking distance, a great base to explore the Peak District, parking free for guests too :Rooms: 5/5
Great for the price stayed here a few times good location for night out in Glossop but they have installed an eco heating sensor in the room we had so it was freezing cold as it turned it self off take a fan heater with youRooms: 5/5
Lift out of order despite steps required to get to all rooms and even reception, bathroom in room smelled mouldy and the toilet leaked constantly into the bowl and so the cistern would top up loudly every 30s. Nobody ever at reception to speak to about this, just a generic freephone number to call for issues.Rooms: 2/5
Clean, quiet rooms. Easy free parking. Good breakfast choices nearby.Rooms: 5/5
