Brilliant park, so much to offer. Crazy golf, tennis courts, bowling green, children's play area, nice gardens, train ride, toilet facility and shop. Lots of benches around to sit. Great for dogs, nice stroll or run.
Beautiful park for a stroll or run. The lake has many ducks and a white one too. Some places in the park could be muddy on a rainy day. There is a miniature railway going by the park. Not sure if anything runs on those rails. I saw many people walking with their dogs. Next to the park is Shepley St which is the start point of many hiking trails in this area.
Love this Park, busy in the morning but chilled and relaxing in the evening. Our dog Marley Shitzu is in his element once he enters the gates, never troubled by other dogs, so it's all love from him.
I went on the classic car show day was very good.
The Wobbly Wanderers and Prefab Fay were visiting Glossop and decided to have a wander around.nIt's been a few years since we were there and it's not changed.nThere's plenty of free parking.nA skateboard park and a playground for children.nThere's also a miniature railway that runs around the park.nAlong with a football field and tennis courts there's a river running through which on a warm day is nice for youngsters to paddle in as it's quite shallow.nYou can walk around the park and through the Formal Gardens and back to the car park passing what used to be the boating lake.
