John was excellent at the front desk. He answered all my questions and helped me check in quickly. The rooms are simple. The hotel is quiet. The showers are strange as the shower curtain is wider than the shower so it leaks. The location is close to the airport but not convenient to get to the airport. There is a small co-op shop at the entrance to the parking lot. The breakfast was nice with eggs, bacon, cereals, yogurts, croissants and fruit
The rooms are practical, but not the most attractive. Unfortunately, there was only one blanket in the double room but four pillows? and the bed creaked. Cleanliness is okay. We stayed here for one night before our flight but wouldn't want to stay longer or again.nThe walls are quite thin, so you can hear conversations in adjacent rooms, and the slamming of doors is unbelievably loud and penetrating. This, combined with a travel group that was very inconsiderate at night and also partied in the hotel parking lot, prevented me from getting a restful sleep, even with earplugs. I couldn't sleep with the window closed due to the heat in the room. We were grateful for the fan!nAfter breakfast, our room cards stopped working, which was quite annoying, but the issue was resolved by a friendly staff member. All in all, a disappointing and unrestful stay.
The hotel is budget and so my 4 star is on the premise that it’s a budget hotel.nnThe room was fairly nice, bog standard but clean and tidy.nThe bathroom was clean and well lit with some amenities however, no bath. The only issue with the bathroom was the shower pressure, which is minimal.nnThe staff were very friendly and welcoming.nnAgain I know it’s a budget hotel however the communal area bar/restaurant is lacking some love and needs a bit of a rejuvenation. Considering the price of drink and food, it would be nice to sit in a bit more modern and welcoming area.nnOne of the only issues was accessing the hotel via public transport from Edinburgh, it’s quite faffy and sometimes the Ubers let you down.nnAll in all it did its job for pre flight stay.
Great location near the Airport, room was clean and staff were helpful. Place was fine for a night stay before our flight. Room is was very barebone and wifi was not included. A 20min walk to McDonald's and there is a grocery store near by.
Great hotel. Good service and friendly staff. Only downside is situation if you want a quiet hotel, is at end of Edinburgh airport runway also has a 4 lane urban clearway running along side hotel. Rooms are quite well soundproofed.
