Room was spacious with a nice big bed. Clean and tidy throughout. Shower cubicle was large and water pressure was great with a good supply of hot water.nBreakfast was good. Basic cooked breakfast that's hot as well as continental options.nStaff were friendly and helpful.nEasy to find with plenty of parking.nnHaven't stayed here before, but would definitely do so again.
I stayed here 10 days for a work training course.nAll the staff were lovely, friendly, and professional, all seemed to genuinely enjoy working there.nIve only stayed in hotels for holidays and special occasions, rarely cheap ones, every time the staff have always let it down.nNasir is someone that deserves recognition, I started a playful prank on my friend, and he not only continued it over the weekend when I wasn’t around, but also added his own fun twist. It’s gestures like these that really make a stay memorable!nMy breakfast and dinner was included, £25 allowance for dinnernBreakfast exceeded my expectations, although bacon was overcooked consistently, and the oranges in the juice were non existent, diluted Robinsons would have been better.nDinners were okay, almost on par with Wetherspoons, price and quality.nThe caesar salad, lasagna and chicken curry was top 3.nRooms are basic, cleanliness was never an issue, stayed in 2 different rooms, one had a better shower and the other had a slightly more comfortable mattress.nIn this day of age a 32 inch non smart tv isn’t acceptable, I googled the year of manufacture, 2011!nFast free wifi but can’t even mirror my phone to the tv?nI debated bringing my ps5 on the 2nd week I returned, but didn’t bother as the 720p tv would of been miserable to endure and disrespectful to my PlayStation lolnOne night stay here ranges from £50 to £180 in February 2026 I wrote this.
Friendly welcome when someone came to the desk. Easy check in. I couldn't get my lights to come on as it requires more forceful dunking if the key card until it clicks which takes more force than any other hotel I've stayed in. Room was spacious and clean. Only downside was during the night there was substantial noise from the air con system although it was off in my room. It woke me up twice in the night with what must have been mouse within the system as mine was not on.
For those wanting to hop the motorway it would be perfect. The hotel was very clean and friendly, room basic but had all that was needed. Breakfast was adequate. Much cheaper and better value than Premier Inn, or similar. The road noise not an issue. But the sirens through the night from the nearby ambulance station were frequent, which distubed sleep. I understand that sound proofing being done in Jan 2026.
2nd time I've stayed here this year. It's not the closest to the place I was working, but it's a really nice hotel and the desk staff are really friendly, especially the chap who checked me in late at night both times - he's a credit to the hotel. Just a shame I didn't get his name so I could give him the recognition he deserves.
