Don't really have any complaints about this. The staff are friendly and everything runs smoothly. You need to pay for Wi-Fi which isn't ideal but it isn't too expensive anyway, and you can do it at the time of booking. The room was clean and spacious as was the bathroom. As for location, the hotel is right outside a McDonald's and Morrisons and leads you straight onto roads downwards to Newcastle and further and you can also easily go north into the Scottish borders, Edinburgh and further. Of course, you can also easily access the town centre as well which has lots of nice shops and cafes. I would stay here again - great value for money and good for if you want an over night stay before travelling further north or south

Everything was what I'd expect - clean / comfortable and welcoming. Just what you need after a longish drive.

Clean rooms never got good sleep though. In room one right on bottom floor next to entrance , from 9- 12pm all heard was people going in out standing outside from smoking . Then noises from boy racers in cars speeding around  Morrison's carpark right across road early hours. Staff friendly. McDonalds and Morrison's store right on doorstep.

It's a small travel lodge on the side of the a1. It's close to local amenities and Morrisons. Whilst the staff are great it's in need of a little refurbishment especially in the bathroom areas. Clean and tidy. But lacking in a modern refurb for things such as convenient plug sockets.
