Stayed for a couple nights while visiting family and friends. Both check-in and check-out were professionally handled and easy. The room was nice and clean, although basic. I cannot sing the praises of staff enough as they were all lovely. One of the members of staff in particular was super friendly and helpful and made my stay enjoyable - I think her name was Darna?
Was greeted by the supervisor and she was very friendly and professional check in was faultless. The room was very clean, comfortable with a lovely hot shower.I stopped here from a return visit from Cornwall to Essex to break up the journey.I paid £26 for the room that was an absolute bargain and perfect for a lovely shower and kip.Opposite is a Greggs,Burger king, subway and Shell garage.Perfect for a coffee or a hot or cold snack.I really can't understand what people complain about when staying in budget hotels.I have been lucky enough to stay in some beautiful 5 Star resorts around the world but as long as a hotel has a clean room, friendly staff, comfortable bed and a hot shower then what is the problem? because you certainly get alot more than what you pay for at Travelodge.
Good location. Check in was smooth and fast. Very quiet surroundings. Hotel needs updating. Rooms had a funkie smell.Rooms: 3/5
Very friendly reception staff. Lovely warm clean room and the shower was wonderful. One of the best Travelodge we have stayed in. Rooms: Clean and comfortable. Good value Food & drinks: Plenty of places to buy food and just a couple of minutes drive from Amesbury town where you can buy food from a selection of supermarkets or enjoy meals in restaurants.
Check in smooth, the rooms are usually clean and what you’d expect, we stay over night on our way to Cornwall and there are some nice pubs a ten minute walk, also some good facilities and parking a junction back on the 303,
Cheap truck-stop Hotel, nothing to shout about. Don't expect much. Creaky floorboards and slamming doors is all you can hear at night. Very dated rooms with the bare minimum essentials, in a dated building. There is a small service station next-door where there is a Burger King, Subway and Greggs, and a Shell petrol station. Nothing else of note. Don't Stay Here! There is a Holiday Inn on the opposite side of the A303, its only about £20 more for a room but its SO much better! Air conditioning, sound proofing, much better view, much better on site restaurant, and much friendlier staff! It's also closer to Amesbury town and on the "correct" side of the A303 for visiting Stonehenge.
Normal Travelodge, a little old and could do with a modernisation, but still clean and tidy. Staff friendly and helpful, especially when my colleague lost his door key. Amesbury is really close, with several good pubs and restaurants.Rooms: 4/5
Oh my gosh... turned up and it's a service station. Car parking is plenty. There is nowhere to get a drink. There is a small food place nearby a smell pervades the air. Greeted by four staff all smoking outside the front door in front of a this is a no snoking area.No public toilet to use prior to booking in. The booking cost 132 for a family room. I haven't gone in yet but first impressions are not good. Yes it's budget but this is a big brand and budget doesn't have to mean poor
RUDE MANAGER! Travelodge you can do better! As I arrived there was staff smoking outside directly in front of the no smoking signs. As I walked past they gave me a really dirty look. I asked the receptionist if I could speak to the manager about this, and what a surprise the manager lady Dani that came to speak to me was one of those smoking outside! She was very rude, and made me feel uncomfortable. Horrible cigarette breath talking down to me. My concerns felt irrelevant to her, she interrupted every sentence and walked away before I had even finished. The room itself was ok, standard travelodge experience however the noises over the night were not great. There were food options in the service station. Overall, from my horrendous introduction from the staff Dani the manager especially I would not recommend this Travelodge to anyone. There are far better options of places to stay when visiting Stone Henge.
Clean and tidy, comfortable beds, friendly staff. Cheap and cheerful, was ideal for a 1 night stayRooms: 4/5
