The library has great staff and good resources, but I can't believe they didn't think of providing a toilet. I came here for the first time with my niece and nephews, and it was difficult to manage their bathroom needs. Later, I returned to study and work, and still found the lack of facilities surprising. The council really needs to address this issue.
The place is peaceful , quiet , spacious , helpful , full of books , full of DVDs and computers that can be up to date with the new windows operating system but still good. The staff are friendly , knowledgable , alert , respectful , responsible , reliable , quick , resourceful and informative. I have been for while because it was worth going for studying , researching and reading in peace with no one disturbing you. I have been there few times , it was amazing because I was able to do whatever I need to in order to do research and they have food stand in inside if you need something to eat and drink to recharge yourself in there after a long research that you did in there for long while at the library.
The Loughton Library has proved to be so helpful for my personal email and print- offs. The staff have been so helpful and friendly. If there's anyone out there who think, why should they join this Library, please visit, it will change your mind and your approach to being part of a Library. It's informative, educational, it's a no nonsense place, just brilliant...
Ample parking, just a shame you have to pay but nothing is free in this life. Call me old school but I still prefer real paper books to phones and tablets, so I love this place as they have a wide choice available. It's nice to still be able to go somewhere to escape the noise pollution we have to endure daily.
There is no toilet in the library
Excellent library, very quite, has quite rooms upstairs. I think it is very good for a study; the people inside are usually quite too so I strongly recommend this library. There is tables with 1 changing port for portable devices and not overcrowded. The only drawback which is why i gave a 4 & not a 5 is there is not toilets and you have to go outside to Morrisons
Very nice library with plenty of books and resources. Plenty of quiet areas.
The library has reopened very safely. Took my grandson today - the children's books have been put into sets so you just choose a set to limit handling
I visited my local library today to find out that we have lost the space on the first floor ! I was told all the books have been moved down to the ground floor Dissapointing to lose this additional space which provide a quiet space for study and reading.
Large public library. Reference books and lending. DVD and CD loan. Free use of computers and internet access for 1 hour sessions. Plenty of pay for parking outside. Books for sale. Ideal place for students to study. Friendly helpful staff, on two floors. Normally some exhibitions going on. Recommended.
