Had my car in for a gearbox recondition and decided to replace clutch while car was apart. I got quoted a price so booked it in, however when I came to fitting he said there were different parts on my modle so would be an extra £500. It took about a month to complete the work just got excuse after excuse why it was taking so long. Finally got the car back however after a couple of months gearbox start making a nicking sound when changing gear. I rang transmission plus up to book in to get it checked. However that's was months ago and stil won't answer my texts or calls. Booked it in to another garage and they say I need a another recondition as most likely measurements or fitting was wrong from transmitting flus fitted it.Service: Transmission
A knowagable bloke runs this spot. I took my automatic here with a gear box fault. After testing he was honest about the fault my car had and advised me correctly not to repair the car while he could have taken it on and made my wallet alot lighter. Not that I want to go here any time soon, it would be the first place I would go. Very recomended
2nd gearbox they have reconditioned for me, Good workers and fair price
