Tracey Black has looked after my teeth since she first qualified as a dentist. I have never experienced anything less than excellent, first class treatment and care from Ms Black and all of her staff. A visit to the dentist isn’t the most pleasant experience but I cannot imagine a better dental practice to visit. The whole team are friendly and welcoming. I have 100% confidence in the care I receive as have my immediate family.

Tracey has been my dentist for 30 years and in this time I have always received a first class and professional service from her and her staff. Recently attended under Covid restrictions and everything ran smoothly and felt totally safe. Highly recommended.

Daniel has been my dentist for over 15 years and he has always offered a professional yet friendly service. I now take my children. We recently attended for a routine checkup under COVID precautions and felt completely safe with excellent measures in place from the moment you walk through the door. Daniel always explains any work required, why it’s required and options available for treatment. I would strongly recommend the practice.

I have been with Tracey for 31 years and I would like to highly recommend her. She and her staff are very warm and welcoming. I have been completely happy with the treatments provided. Both my children have been her patients since birth and both have excellent teeth.

I’ve been coming to this dentist for many years and  always received an excellent service from Daniel and the rest of the team. Appointments are always on time and there’s a pleasant waiting area to sit prior to appointment. Ideally situated in the heart of Headingley I would highly recommend this Dental Surgery if your a newcomer to the city.

First class service as always. I have been at this practice with Tracey for 31 years . She is very friendly and efficient. Would recommend to anyone looking for a dentist in Headingley. from Graham, my husband , but I agree as well.

So its lockdown 2!  Not all dentists are seeing patients but Tracey and her team are there, going the extra mile. They advised me during lockdown and I was seen for urgent treatment asap just afterwards. They are now endeavouring to catch up with seeing as many patients as possible given "the new normal" that we all have to come to terms with! Tracey, Daniel  and their team have worked hard work to ensure that the treatment process is well organised safely for staff and patients. This obviously takes more time. I would just like to say thank you and well done. PS I might not have enjoyed the drilling but I have enjoyed our banter!

Wouldn't personally recommend. I don't think there's necessarily anything wrong with the actual treatments you'd receive, but overall the level of care isn't particularly comprehensive, the bedside manner is pretty offhand and they seem to just have pretty low expectations for the dental health of NHS patients. Focus is very much on getting you in and out as quickly as possible. Was told my extensive dental work in the past was probably due to "poor diet", and yet no one has asked me about my diet or given any recommendations concerning how I could lessen the impact of my diet on my teeth in 2 years of being a patient there. Was told my gums were bleeding in a few places at my last appointment. Wasn't told where the bleeding was, no one asked me whether they bleed when I floss they don't, I was told that I was probably flossing incorrectly, the nurse showed me how to floss properly been a patient for 2 years, they've never thought to check whether I know how to floss before. I said that I was in fact flossing in the recommended manner, but there was no interest in seeking any other source for my bleeding gums nor a plan for how to resolve it if flossing wasn't working, or what to look out for or be concerned about if it continues.  If you just need an NHS dentist, and you're not nervous and don't have teeth that need a lot of attention, then this practice will be fine. But if you'd like a dental practice that will take the time to make you feel comfortable and help you be in the best dental health you can be in, and to explain and discuss your dental health with you and present you with options and advice for your treatment and overall oral health, then I'd look elsewhere.

Tracey has been my dentist for 30 years. I have found Tracey professional, knowledgeable and  helpful. Excellent, efficient service by all staff. I have recommended Tracey to family and friends in the last 30 years.

I was surprised to be called back in for a routine check up  during this second lockdown. Excellent control of patient flow and application of the covid precautions including a manual scaling rather than an electric drill based one which along with the excellent chair based gum hygiene tuition from the dental nurse made me realise the mistakes I have been making for years in respect of my cleaning technique. Hopefully I can apply the lesson and reap the benefits in terms of my dental health and it will show on my next visit in 6 months time.
