My kid was trying some ride-on floor model toys for his little cousin. A sales associate lectured him to get off and told him he’s too big, he’s only 7. It made him upset for the whole day as he thought it was wrong. What kind of toy store is this? Keep the toys in the box if you don't want people to try it out. If you have a problem, speak with the parents on the side. No wonder this company is on a downhill trajectory. Kids are your target customers and you manage to screw it up. Good luck.
Sales Associate "Chloe" provided excellent customer service, both over the phone on 2 Sept 2024, and in person on 3 Sept 2024. She was personable, helpful and did everything she could to assist me as I had requested.
Terrible Terrible experience with this store! almost ruined my Christmas! I ordered three items online, only one arrived after four weeks, The only item I received was in ratty condition, like just dug out from a garbage dump. Called the customer service, the rep does not know anything, so I had to go the store to check with the staff. It turned out the remaining two items had been cancelled without my knowledge, while the on-line status still showed the order was in in process and the items were in stock. What's more, I was refused the return of that ratty toy. The store manager insisted this item was on final sale, even though I showed him the printed-out original order, that it was nowhere indicated a final sale, and that the store manager could not find the final sale message on the webpage himself either. I could have bought the same products from other merchants ata even better price. I chose Toys R us Newmarket because we used to have good experiences many years ago when the kids were young. It is sad that Toys R US is no longer the store we used to know. And now I understand why its business is closing, because it does not care about its customers, and really deserves a close-down.
Feels like there's not much in stock some days, the store looks so out dated and old and there's this one employee who always looks so miserable and he is very passive aggressive. Oh and the washrooms are disgusting.
The staff here are always helpful, they have special mini events during holidays/breaks/P.A days etc....for the kids to do. Great deals . They just did a makeover, store looking great and lego area is a hotspot for kids to hang out and sample the lego or just play for however long you like. My go to spot on rainy or extreme hot days to let my little one burn his energy!!
Toys R Us Newmarket has had several changes over the years, and I must say that things like the Lego building station have made quite an interactive experience for families! Smart addition!
I was in this morning to pickup an online purchase, and at the same time I purchased some items in store. I was helped by Apyphany and another associate who I didn’t get their name unfortunately. Both associates were SO helpful with helping me find a special item for my daughter. They really did go above and beyond! I haven’t seen that level of exceptional customer service in a really long time! Thank you for the amazing shopping experience. I will def come back to this location, and hope I have the opportunity to deal with the same excellent associates:
Ridiculous! I ordered 2 items less than $20, all in stock placed order around noon same as a Walmart order grocery order to be exact called after 6 pm staff had excuses! that no one was there to do curbside pickup Big store like that has no staff to do curbside for 2 items?! She was extremely unprofessional as well to much attitude, especially after my 2 item order hasn’t been complete ridiculous! So much ppl need work hire more staff this makes no sense oh yeah the Walmart order was ready by 4pm
Had a pleasant shopping experience with my kids. The giraffe character is a pleasant experience too
