Worst rolls I have every tasted, dry bread, skimp ham , no filling, cost £3.65 for rubbish,. Two tomatoes costs £1 each. Very bad experience, Beware these shops will Rob you blind, avoid like the plague, they used low quality budget ,fillings, including plastic ham and sandwich fillers, not even real food. Never again, I'm passing the word to avoid. Should be closed, rip offs. Also forgot to mention the old lady with grey hair very rude nearly knocked me over with her box of vegetables very impatient no manners
Update: I continue to be amazed by the rudeness and incompetence of the grey-haired lady who works nights. Such levels of incompetence and unpleasantness are very hard to find. Although it claims to be 24 hours, they have now decided to shut the doors from 11pm, only serving from their hatch. Some not all of the staff working at night are rude and unhelpful. Continuing changing their product range, replacing with extremely expensive alternatives. A good, convenient local store that is sadly continually deteriorating in all aspects of service quality.
It's got everything you need for a top up shop. Bread, milk, fresh fruit and veg, dairy, ready meals, beer, wine, cards, magazines, sweets, crisps, chocolate, fizzy drinks, pet items, car items... not to mention the Subway inside and a Costa coffee machine.
I love this shop, full of lovely local food but I understand the issue at night as I used to work there, alone in that huge shop from 10 at night until about 7am when other staff would come in. I was supposed to serve customers through the hatch, clean up, put bread out the other side of the shop where you can barely hear the bell ring. Stock shelves etc etc. I had to let people in most of the time when there's a queue of about 15 people all wanting food. If I'd had someone to work with I actually like it there. Hated the day work thougj
Really handy. Good selection. Not overly cheap but convenient. Good staff. Loyalty card gives good rewards. Parking, fuel, car wash.
Woman on duty last night refused to give cash back saying that it was policy not to give cash back after 11 I know that is not true, she was a really grumpy old woman and I have noticed her attitude with other people in the past, she is in the wrong job. Apart from the grumpy old woman it's OK
Nailsea is quite a small town and the road through it is not exactly very busy but this place is 24/7, it's not a bad size with a good range of food and the fuel is cheap. It's good for a town like this to have a place like that. They don't let people in very late at night, however most staff will let you in if you're in uniform with an ID card or if they know you.
The women that works in Budgens , middle aged grey long hair with glasses , could not be more rude if she tried ! Every time she serves me I dread it! , no smile , never plz or thank you , and too much effort to serve me with to top it up bad attitude! , so much that I'm writing this today , the rest of the Team are so lovely! Thank goodness for them .
Over priced, out of date produce, bought a £10 beef of brisket, cooked for 5 hours.. came out tougher then a WW2 boot. Do your homework before shopping at this place.
I asked the lady to post something via UPS, a service they advertise they offer... Received a huff & a stalemate face to go with it. When trying to lighten the mood about how hard it was to post being near Christmas I got a. "Uh huh right". I left thinking what a horrible person I was for making her do her job.
