They are a helpful bunch at this surgery. Since they changed the appointment system, getting a phone or face to face appointment with your own GP has been much easier. You have to call on the day your GP is on duty and set your alarm for an 8.30am call. As with any doctors it is an early race to call reception at 8.30am. One bit of advice, be honest and open about your needs so the receptionist can get you the best help. Gone are the days when they were just handing out slots. My GP sends a text with a form to fill in what help I need. Be honest and you will get great service.nThey have always been there for me.
I have been registered with this GP for around 3 years now. I haven’t needed them super-frequently but every single time without fail, when I need them, they see me very quickly, treat me promptly and they have always been a very kind and caring bunch from reception and admin to nurses, physios to GP’s. Everyone has been brilliant throughout. They have taken care of my mum and grandad with equal excellence, I feel very fortunate to live close to this surgery. They seem to cope with the ridiculous pressures they are put under with meticulous organisation / team work and a lot of patience / kindness. Thanks all :-
Today, I had a dual consultation with Dr Philip for myself and my son. Dr Philip was exceptional — very kind, supportive, and attentive. She listened carefully to all our concerns and addressed them appropriately. Her management was thorough, and she ensured we received the best possible care. I have been with Topsham surgery for 2 years now.nI cannot fault them, through pregnancy and with both my children we have always been seen too.nDr Acklom is fantastic at her job and has helped us in so many ways. The duty doctors and nurse are also fantastic.
I have been with this surgery for 30 years and have always received prompt and expert help when required. They have a very professional and considerate attitude and approach.
