Love a Kebab from Tommy Tuckers. Always fry off the meat with the onions, adds flavour and gets rid of excess grease. I'm not local but will grab a meal if I'm in the area. Keep up the good work and I will be returning soon. Parking: Car park on location
This is a very popular place locally so generally this means you will east freshly cooked fish. The quality of Fish is usually good but I was disappointing with my plaice which was a small fish bulked up with a lot of batter - and greasy batter at that. The chips are proper chip shop chips and served in generous portions. They are always wrapped separately to avoid them going soggy next to the fish. £9.50 to £10.50 is a little steep for 1 fish and chips - it's cheaper in the nearby Weatherperson! Tomy Tuckers do accept on line orders but they always say the food will be ready on 10 minutes regardless of how busy they are or how long it really takes. If your order Friday evening you will have to wait. They also ask that on line orders pay cash - I cant see why but they'll take a card payment anyway. Easy parking at the adjacent council car park.
‘Good’ food at best- become so expensive for takeaway- ok for convenience but can spend same money to eat in Restaurant. Wanted to charge extra £2/£3 to have kebab sauce separately-
Food was lovely, have tried kebabs, fish , sausage in batter, 1/4 pounder, never had a bad meal. Staff are friendly and surroundings clean . Parking: Parking opposite no problem .
You havent lived until you sample a taste of this English tradition. Wrapped up in newpaper. the fish is so fresh and the chips so tasty you will wonder what youve been eating up to now. This Chip Shop is one of the nicest you will see. Its in the heart of Sandgate and been there for years. It has survived the times and now a National Monument ..lets say a chip off the old block ; Thank you Tommy Tuckers
Can't get any better in Witham! After spending a Saturday at work, did not much fancy cooking. So off to Tommy Tucker's to do my dinner for me. The whole experience was pleasant from the get go. The young man who took order did so with a pleasant smile. I didn't have to wait long despite the place being busy. When I got home and unwrapped my fish and chips I knew I was in for a treat. The batter was golden and crispy and the cod white and fluffy. The chips were chunky, fresh and all made for a delicious meal. Will call again, even as I have in the past.
Absolutely outstanding tonight. Chips were cooked to perfection. Chicken shish was sooo good, salad fresh whole meal was delicious. Thank you Tommy Tuckers
Best kebab in town without a doubt
I personally think its the best chippy in witham, just today got 2 senior fish and chips, 2 cod roes a pukka pie and chips and a saveloy , freshly cooked , what top food it was highly recommend this shop.
Always happy with the quality of their food. Its a shame the price has increased so much, not a cheap meal anymore.Food: 4/5
