So having gone in the Doctor's because of feeling breathless, Dr. Thushiah Krishnapillai with alot of patience and perseverance knew something else was going on...and after what felt like a very quick period of time, she trusted her instincts and with support and guidance from her senior mentor, I was advised to go to A & E that same day...where I was treated for Saddle Pulmonary Embolism over the next 6 days...this is a rare PE that can be missed....and I can't say how grateful I am that it was not. I know the GP's can have lots of negative comments made..but I would like to thank them for persisting and giving me back my opportunity to create new memories....nSo please remember it's so easy to give negative feedback...it's harder to say thank you....but we are so lucky to have a Medical Centre that act in our best interests..
The majority of the receptionists are friendly, helpful and polite, just a couple that completely let the team down nE consult is easy to use even for the older person.nGPs are all very nice, as is the physiotherapist. Most nurses are great apart from 1 exception!! Very unprofessionalnOverall I'm happy with the service I receive
Not impressed at all I walked all the way to the surgery today only to be informed it was cancelled. And now have to wait another 2 weeks. Being disabled with difficulty walking this is no joke. Told I was sent a message but nothing received. I am very angry
Brilliant doctors, helpful receptionists even though they are all under enormous pressure.nThank you
I have been with this surgery for years but the service has deteriorated over the last few years. I understand the benefits of introducing an online form to book appointments but the online form that the surgery currently uses is poorly designed. Also when thd doctor rings back they ask you to repeat everything you've said on the form which suggests a simpler form wojld eork hust as wellnDespite making an official complaint when it was first introduced I had a holding response, but nothing else. Despite the doctors being ok the frustration of not being to email a simple query when the online options are inappropriate; being told two or three times in a lengthy message to use the online facilities when you are ringing because the online options are inappropriate and the dismissiveness of the receptionists with a defensive and not a listening approach has meant I am now registering with another surgery. The surgery hides behind the message that this is an NHS development. Other surgeries have recognised the initial form is inappropriate and have adopted other online options which are more suitable and still allow for telephone and email contact. I hope someone from the surgery sees this and has a rethink about the way they operate for all their patients' sake. They seem to be very complacent about the unnecessary hoops they get sick people to jump through as they cover a village area where changing to another practice is just not practicable for most.
