Just enjoyed a hearty breakfast at the Toby Carvery Rhoose, what can I say? I’m no stranger when I comes to “Service Excellence”. However, it’s nice to experience it too. Great food and quality service. Well done TEAM Toby! This Toby carvery is situated on the outskirts of Barry near the Cardiff Airport. There is a large free car park with a Travelodge. There is a small menu that runs along side the carvery. There were three meats available at the time I visited. Staff were friendly and its reasonably priced.
The food was fine, typical Toby offering. Service was friendly, including the carvery chef who was apologetic as they had run out of Yorkshire puddings and more were being prepared, and the waitress was pleasant. The only issue was that they were busy and lots of used dishes placed on several side units/waiter stations and not taken to the kitchen and overflowing bin near the drinks machine. Didn't give an overall great impression. Maybe short staffed?
Food is always amazing and always leaving satisfied. Sadly each time I’ve been there I’ve had to wait least 5 minutes for the chefs to serve me due to not being there. Lovely waitress/waiters also very friendly and approachable. Very quick with any requests we have asked for.
it was great, not packed to the rafters like it can sometimes get, reasonable queue for the carvery, very pleasant and hospitable serving staff throughout. Good size portions served, all in all a very pleasing experience at a very reasonable cost. Well done to all the team
We booked a table for 3.30 as we had a Christmas event at 5, I was surprised how nice and fresh the food was at an off peak time. Staff were very friendly and accommodating of our wild 2 year old and 6 week old baby with a big buggy. Lovely clean place, would recommend Food: 5/5
Popped in for a carvery after coming back from Cardiff Airport. Wow! Our service was absolutely amazing. Her name was Sophie P, she was incredible, her customer service was outstanding. From the beginning she was happy to help and always smiling! I will definitely be returning! Thank you so much for our experience today!
We had Sunday roast, gammon and turkey off the carvery and we thoroughly enjoyed it, it was busy but the food was lovely and all the staff were cheery. It's no wonder they are busy, we were a walk in but only waited 15minutes for a table so very accommodating and our waitress was very quick and efficient in a very full restaurant, for 2 adults and 1 child we spent £43 with my child having dinner and dessert and us just dinner and 3 unlimited non alcoholic drinks. Impressed that there was also alternatives for the children of fish fingers or nuggets Vegetarian options: Loads of veg to choose from, Kid-friendliness: They had colouring pages and colours available, a kids menu with was varied even available on the sunday Parking: Large carpark, wheelchair accessible
Does what it says on the tin! Lovely carvery, meat is all cooked to perfection and a good choice of veg to go with. Also had an ice cream dessert which was super, and the perfect size after the roast. Decor if you care for these things is a little dated, but don't let that distract from a good value and very satisfying roast dinner.
Fantastic place! Food and price are amazing. I love that you can have just a veggie meal that's priced accordingly. Vegetables are made with as much love as the meats and not just as an afterthought. Always welcomed and served with a warm and friendly smile. Superb customer service, by far the best carvery I've been to. Vegetarian options: Priced accordingly, it was cheaper than a meat roast. Great selection of veggies.
