Love a hungry horse, however I hope you take this as constructive criticism, stood to be seated as the sign informed but no one came to seat us so we seated ourselves. Staff shortage maybe? Que by bar was huge 3 staff serving but took ages. We waited the longest time and was just about to go and ask where our food was as it came. Sadly the food was cold our waiter was fab but everything else needs to be addressed to keep up with other hungry horse pubs we have enjoyed.
Run out of onion rings for sharing starter but then miraculously had them for the mains.. the mains came out all overcooked, cold, and cremated to within an inch of its life! You could use the chicken burger THAT THEY HID!! at the bottom of the burger as a hammer it was that over cooked and burnt! Couldn't even raise the issue as there was no check on us so I had to leave the table to find someone to tell them.. I also asked for sauces and knives and forks for our starters and got told to wait a minute I'm just sending a photo! So I helped myself! First class customer service! Avoid at all costs!
Classic cheap pub grub went to watch Wales Vs New Zealand rugby. There were technical issues so missed the national anthems and build up to the game. Staff friendly, food as expected for prices..good news on the food front is they have gluten free menu fyi no chips are gf there
We were all given a full refund but I still think I need to be honest about the whole experience. 1.5 hours to get our meals to the table 2 members of our party had their meals 1 hour before everyone else 2 didn't even get their food, the meals that did arrive were cold and missing components as described on the menu, some were burnt but cold and un edible. Room was also very cold. Will not be returning.
Micky gave such a warm welcome and with no trouble at all made sure our large family sat together, she then saved the day when she discovered we had no candles for our birthday cake and kindly found us some, She is a credit to your restaurant. The food was lovely too!
Very poor. Not all the food arrived as on menu. Sausages looked & tasted like they had been microwaved. Had to ask for the sauce in the description. Was ill the following day. Wouldn't go again.
Good venue for live music. Fair prices friendly staff.
Pleasantly surprised on how good the food was. Was very fresh and tasty. Really good price. Lovely friendly and efficient staff. Will be back.
Dirty cutlery, microwaved food, old chips refried, tables sticky and dirty. Premises old and dated, this could be a great pub, it's in a great location. Staff very thin on the ground, takes a while to get served.
The ship has always been a nice place to visit. As a disabled customer, it’s important that the facilities are good, especially form wheelchairs, I have always found there to be plenty of room and the staff are very friendly.
