Enjoyed a great meal on Sunday 02/10/22... Friendly, helpful, courteous staff bent over backwards to make it a very enjoyable visit I had food and non alcoholic drinks. I would recommend to anyone staying in the area eg at the Travelodge across the road, where I'll sleep tonight. Photo taken at end of food service approx 2100.
4 of us spent the weekend of the 9 -11 September in the area We visited this place for breakfast 2 mornings A lot of choice that was very tasty and of good quality plus unlimited too. I was hoping to try the breakfast Yorkie Pudding but sadly it wasn't available although the amazing hash browns that had bacon in it certainly made up for that! An excellent price for all you can eat - teas/coffees/Orange juice etc were extra on top but teas/coffees were unlimited We had a good start to an amazing 2 days break thanks to eating here, definitely recommend you won't be disappointed Parking: For us there was no problem finding a place to park and it was easy to get in/out
Well done to Adam in the kitchen for cooking one of the best roast dinners I've ever had. Mum and I thoroughly enjoyed. We gave our compliments to lovely Luke our server for his attentiveness and friendliness. Great service! Well done guys!Food: 5/5
Absolutely amazing had both an evening meal and a breakfast buffet here last week and both times was absolutely amazing. Food was nice and hot and in plenty of supply,very reasonable priced what is an advantage during these tough times. Lots of ample free parking close to bus routes and walking distance from Widnes town centre.Food: 5/5
Came to Toby carvery with work on a Tuesday afternoon Positives. Lovely staff, lovely atmosphere and nice and clean. Roast dinner looked delicious. Negatives . Ordered a salad at 7.25, it literally came with shredded lettuce, 4 cherry tomatoes and a bit of cucumber. A small jug of vinagarette and some mayo. Absolutely shocking that this was so expensive. There must have been approximately 50p worth of food. Wish I would have taken a photo of now. Still cannot believe the price of it. That's usually a couple of quid as a side in other places. We went for the carvery, 5 meats available which you could have all of I've been to carveries where you're only allowed any 3 of the 5 I had all but the lamb, the beef was very fatty so I was disappointed in that, the gravy wasn't very thick and one of the roasties I got was hard. Overall though, we enjoyed our meals.
Breakfast is poor dry hash browns and sasuages wouldn't recommend better go McDonald's next door. Carvery is decent buy starters are horrible and total waste of money. Service is good and tables are clean. refill drinks for £3.30 are good too.Food: 4/5
Went for tea with friends. It had been a while since I last visited but it was great! Very busy as there was offer on so lucky that we booked. Drinks arrived quickly, we queued for carvery but queue was short and we got our food pretty quick. Food was lovely, the meat portion was good, veg was lovely too, with good selection. Gravy absolutely gorgeous! We did have a bit of a wait for our desserts after ordering and the order was slightly wrong, ie got custard instead of ice cream with apple pie but it was ok. Will definitely return again.
The waitress was very friendly and attentive. Only problem was the restaurant was full of families with unruly kids who treated the place like a playground, running around and screaming. Arrived with my husband and was shown to a table in a room with lots of babies and toddlers in high chairs throwing food about and screeching
