It is one of the best carveries I and my husband have had in a long time. The roast potatoes and baked onions in gravy are just delicious, the beef could do with less fat on it we prefer leaner meat but other than that it was spot on. Staff are friendly enough and would definitely recommend this pub. Only one criticism would be for the actual pub to have a bit of a refurbishment it does look a little tired and in need of some TLC. Thank you
Staff were friendly. We were sat quickly but had to wait for a chef to come and serve us our meat/plate as they were either in the kitchen or sorting a few pick up/ delivery orders. Food was nice. The beef was quite fatty but its not as bad as the beef at the Washington toby's. Desert, we had sticky toffee pudding- this needs more custard as the cake itself was dry.
Popped in for an early Saturday carvery and the meal was nice but the service was fantastic. One woman, apologies didn’t catch your name, was fantastically accommodating and very engaging with my young daughter - made the whole experience delightful so thank you to her.Food: 4/5
Not really a drinkers pub nor a gourmet restaurant. The staff are great and do the best they can, but they are spread too thin. You can often stand several minutes at an empty bar waiting for service. Not their fault.Food: 3/5
Always good food for a family sunday out. Meat is perfect, portions are all you could ask for, plenty parking with easy access and all very affordable. Special mention to Sandra, she's an absolute star. Always willing to help and is a attraction to this fine establishment. Well done team.Food: 5/5
It was disappointing. Staff were pleasant and friendly. But cleanliness was poor as table was sticky and not clean both on top and sides. Drinks ordered wine took a while to be provided. Lack of appropriate cutlery for starter ordered, no spoon. Carvery meat was okay, but vegetables were either over cooked or cold. Carrots looked terrible, swede barely mashed. It wasn't busy so maybe food just sitting too long.
Nice atmosphere, friendly helpful staff. Some of the veg on the carvery deck never seems to be cooked through especially cabbage but that's a preference of mine. No vegetarian friendly roast potatoes tonight and the vegetarian gravy was like treacle. The mash was delicious and the broccoli and Brie parcel is enormous and delicious. The carvery deck chef was super friendly and chatty which was lovely. Vegetarian options: Vegetarian side options are good. I love the broccoli and brie parcel as I don't eat meat. It's huge too. Decent vegetarian options on carvery deck along with vegetarian Yorkshire puddings and a separate vegetarian gravy..
we where there last night not our first time we go regularly as a group and they never fail to surprise me extremely helpful with special meals the service is second to none and the staff so friendly we have become friends with them all so booked again for September and December highly recommend anyone to visit everyone in the group of 16 were happy with everything wouldn't go anywhere else suits everyone the only thing is the parking for 3 hrs and been fined when you there you should get exemption when your in enjoying the night, THANK YOU FOR YOU RESPONCE
This is our favourite Toby, we always get a nice amount of meat and roast potatoes are fab Service is quick at the carvery table. Which is a bonus as there's nothing worse then spending 15 minutes in a queue.Food: 5/5
Only let down here was the food. Only come for the pancakes and black pudding. Not told until after we payed that’s only weekends. Bacon was so hard I actually shattered the tip of my front tooth. Cremated sausages. Great counter/bar staff. Just lifting foodFood: 1/5
