Normally we are very happy with our local Toby but u fortunately today was not the case. My husband and I were served with our Meat and Yorkshire Pudding. We then went to the vegetables which were absolutely appalling. The carrots looked cold and had gone brown. The green beans were so dried up they were curling up at the edges and the peas were all dried out. When I mentioned it to the young man serving the meat and said the vegetables were not edible, he said we know but there would be fresh ones out in 5 minutes. We asked him if he would put my husband and my meat and Yorkshires somewhere to keep warm and he did. About 10 mins later fresh peas came out. We had waited long enough so we asked for our meals back at which time fresh carrots also came out but they had run out if green beans. We helped ourselves to the vegetables but then when we felt the meat it was cold. When I mentioned it to the young man he said he would warm it up but when he brought the meals back out the Yorkshires were all soft and soggy as you would expect after being put in the microwave. When my husband mentioned it the person in charge and said the vegetables looked like they had been there since lunch time he said they probably had been but couldn't say for sure as he had only started at 3.00 pm. All in all we had a terrible experience and not the usual standard we have come to expect.

I love going to the Toby Carvery because the food is always good and the environment is clean and staff are always very friendly indeed... We gave been going for many years and on occasions we have Christmas Lunch whish is excellent... Many thanks...🤗🤗

It was great to get lovely vegan and vegetarian options which were really tasty .. the food was delicious .. The manager Joey and waitress deanna, were fantastic , couldn't do enough.. Great to go out to eat and have such great service..!! With great vegan options.. Would highly recommend..!!

Good selection of breakfast items. But make sure you get there before 10:15 as they don't seem to refill very quickly after that time. Good value.

Food was good, but could have done with more staff clearing tables. Was in a large group of people on work Xmas meal. Was only one person bringing out starters for 25 people so some had finished eating as others were just being served. The finished plates weren't cleared away very promptly and we were asked to go for the carvery whilst there were still dirty plates on the table. Half the drinks on the self service soft drinks machine were unavailable so people were disappointed. The quality and choice of food was very good and piping hot, just a shame that on this visit, the service and lack of soft drinks choice let the place down
