Story

Last month (April, 2015) the Wybers Chippy delightedly opened its doors again to the public after a long four week refurbishment. It has had a lavish and impressive new make over, has been fitted with a state of the art frying range and also now boasts a larger and lighter layout.

After much confusion in regard to rumors of new management it would like to be clarified that the Wybers Chippy has been returned to the hands of its original owners Savvas & Voulla.

Serving fresh and quality food is top priority at the Wybers Chippy and we would like to assure of its promise to customer satisfaction and it's constant strive for perfection.

The management and friendly staff welcome you all to visit and would like for you also to share any comments and observations that would further enhance our service.

A fantastic chippy serving everything you would expect from Haddock and Cod to Fishcake and Spam Fritters as well as kebabs. Excellent selection of sauces and the staff are very quick and efficient without making you feel rushed. Can be quite busy but not a very long wait, food is brilliant and plenty of parking available outside. Prices are similar to other local places but currently don’t accept card payments. Is very nicely decorated and always looks clean and hygienic.

Still by far the best chippy in Grimsby. Still busy and long queues on Friday and Saturday nights, but there's a good reason for it. Always worth the wait, great staff and they don't mess about. Make sure you order your mains on the way in so it's ready to go when you get to the counter.

Best chippy in Grimsby. I haven't eaten fish for 45 years as it always looked so unappealing but then my husband bought fish from Wybers and it looked so good I had to try some. Totally converted now. Best fish and chips you can eat.

My wife an I called today for the first time. We just had a lightly battered haddock and it was EXCELLENT. Top quality fish, fried to perfaction. I made a point of telling the frier/owner. We'll be back.
