I haven’t been to a Toby for a long time.nnThis place is nicely set out, was generally not too busy and we were welcomed and served quickly.nnThe chef took us to the table and offered us drinks, which is unusual, but great to avoid us waiting at all, he’s obviously not a waiter so if someone who’s never visited before doesn’t know what’s what, then they might be waiting for someone to tell them.nnWe went straight up for the carvery, there were other menus available.nnStaff returned and checked on how everything was and offered us anything else we wanted.nnThe food portion size was good, the meat was tasty and generally the food was tasty. Some of the food had been there a while, as the parsnips were blackening and the carrots appeared to be drying out. But the choice was great and the potatoes too.nnWe will go back, but a slight improvement in the carvery would make it amazing
I went to Toby's carvery with my friends when visiting and literally everything was amazing I got the King size carvery with pigs in blankets on the side, the meat portion for the king size plate was very big, also got the unlimited soft drink and for pudding I got the cookie dough brownie all of which was lovely, as well as the server Jagoda she was perfect and a dream to be served by, thank you for the wonderful experience. The staff in total was great and very welcoming. The place is clean ,well kept and tastefully decorated. Our overall experience was amazing and I will 100% come back to Aberdeen just to eat there. If I could I would give more stars
We have been to a few other places serving a carvery and here is a slightly different system to what we are used too. I have to say I preferred it. Very welcoming staff. Took the time to ask us how our food was. Very attentive in asking if we needed anything else. Now we know how everything works. We will definitely be back. Food was really lovely. Just a little bit warmer would be nice. We did come around lunchtime.nThe atmosphere was pretty with the lights.
Great experience, the atmosphere is super welcoming and cozy. The food is really good and our waitress Natalia was amazing, she was super helpful and provided great customer service. Overall i will definitely visit again and i would definitely recommend to anyone thats looking for a nice cozy dinner thats a great price.
I love Toby Carvery and my favourite one if Hampton in Peterborough. Unfortunately I went to this Toby Carvery on 9th January for the first ever time and took my father who's never been before to show him how good the food is and we were sadly disappointed by the lightly warm roast dinner food which appeared to be the last part of the food that was nearly cold. Upon checking again, I could see they had a new batch of piping hot vegetables I e roast potatoes and such so we must of been unfortunate to get the dregs. My dad enjoyed the delicious food however a nice lady asked if the food was ok and I was honest in saying I didn't eat any because it was cold. She offered to microwave the meal which was nice but shouldn't be needed in a restaurant. I was just very let down by this whole experience and as a Toby carvery named business I really did expect a good place to eat. I doubt I'll recommend this establishment to friends and family and will try to get my father to not return unless he really insists. Granted he liked the meal but cold isn't what I'd expect from this place. Very disappointed I deed. It wasn't very busy at all and the chef could of done some temperature checks to see if the food was edible or not plus the plates were stone cold. Even Cosmo have very warm plates so if rather go there if I'm honest. Such a disappointment. I really hope corporate see this review of 1 out of 5.
