When it comes to roast dinners, we really know our stuff. Every day our chefs lay on a feast of tender, hand-carved meats with all the trimmings – including towering Yorkshire puds, golden roasties with all those lovely little crunchy bits, and plenty of freshly prepared veg, all crowned with proper gravy. We always visit Toby Carvery in Banbury. We love Carvery there because it’s very value for money. Young waiter Simon’s customer service is excellent, he made sure that we were happy about food and satisfied our customersized needs. Waitress Wendy made my partner very lovely cocktails which is not on the menu, thank you so much! If you could serve pork cracklings for Carvery will be perfect. Every time I suggested this, but still no pork cracklings in Banbury.

Used to go to Banbury Toby on a regular basis but it has gone downhill so badly. Had a table for 16 booked and deposit paid a week before Xmas, On arrival was told they knew nothing about it, No manager or assistant available. Fortunately the staff on duty found us all tables. Since Xmas have been in and told short of meat etc. Our friends have had same experience. We booked a table recently and we were OK but any walk ins were sent away as no meat. This happened again on Tuesday evening. Having spent 7 hours in A&E we didn't want to cook so went to Banbury Toby, only to be told if we hadn't got a table booked we could not go in as there wasn't enough meat. Used to love it there, but not anymore. Will try once more with our friends soon. Let's hope it is better this time

I have been going to the Toby on a regular basis for years now. at least a average of once a week.
I have always had the beef and enjoyed every meal.
that is until today lunch time. it wasn't over busy
I ask for the beef as normal. to be served one slice.
when I question the server he said he had been told to reduce the portions .
I'm not gready. but if I asked for all four meats I would like to think I would be offered four slices.
if the next time u eat there is the same. then it will be the last. sorry to say

Hadn't been here for ages and was shocked at the turn for the worse that seems to have taken place. Food was acceptable (tho I would not have eaten it if I'd tried the loos first -  urgh). We had a query on the bill and the  manager (channelling 'dress-down Sunday,' I think) was so rude ro us, not listening to our concern and interrupting my partner as he tried to explain the issue -  we even had to ask her to stop shouting twice! Absolutely no customer care skills whatsoever. We were shocked and won't be going back. One star is given and that's for the pleasant waitress that served us.

Excellent carvery. Staff were very friendly. Booked a table for 1215, arrived much earlier than expected. Not a problem, was seated straight away. We were one of the first to go up for the food and was a little disappointed that the veg was not very hot. All in all an excellent meal, will certainly go back.
