Friendly, polite staff. Beautiful venue, really lovely decor. A nice relaxed atmosphere , it feels like you’re in your own front room with the fire going. The food though.. the chips were crunchy with oil, a bit over cooked and definitely over salted. The burger bun was on the stale side and the burger patty itself was lacking in flavour and dry. My husbands meal was also very salty but he very much still enjoyed it and the portion sizes are very generous and fairly priced.
Great pub. Really well done without being overdone which is easier said than done!. Really nice feel and decor. Good lighting and features. Simple, easy and open. Warming. Friendly. Good food. Reasonably priced. Great service. Great little find. Took a client there for a relaxed lunch and planning session. Perfect place for it. Will be back with more clients and friends.
Have eaten in the owners other pub a few times and heard they now had the tipputs and great reports on Sunday lunch. Was not disappointed. Having been in a few years ago and to say the very least . The pub was “ tired. “. It was bright and welcoming. With great friendly staff. Luckily I had booked as was busy. Apparently going from 43 people in the morning to over one hundred for the day. Lovely surroundings. And as a newly plant based eater was blown away by their vegan roast. Freshly created. And tasty. If only they could master a vegan Yorkshire pudding and add that to the plate then it would have been spot on. Definitely will be going back for more. Thank you
Absolutely love this place! Best place to eat locally. Highly recommend the haddock! Lovely staff. Couldn't fault it in any way 5 stars!
Although extremely busy on Christmas Eve, the staff were so very helpful and friendly. The food was great and the cost very reasonable. I thoroughly enjoyed our meal. Thank you.
Accommodated my crazy family of 13 on a Sunday and we had a wonderful time. Staff are so attentive and the roasts were one of the best I've had out. Really generous portions and the best yorkie pud ever. We'll definitely be back!
Exceptional food but at a premium price. Gluten free and other dietary requirements offered. Food seems cooked fresh to order so takes a while but worth the wait.

Excellent pub we all turn up on our vintage motorcycles every boxing day allways welcome friendly staff good food & a nice atmosphere long may it continue.
My brother booked us a table in the bar for a post Christmas get together. The Sunday menu had plenty on it as well as a Sunday roast. I thought I would try something new to me and wasn't dissapointed. Basque Seafood Stew..delicious. everyone enjoyed their meals..and we managed desserts too. We sat near the fire, but the whole place was cosy and had a nice atmosphere. The staff were all pleasent and chatty. There were folks with well behaved dogs in the bar, a small sofa area near the bar and big restaurant area also. Well worth visiting, will head back in the spring and hopefully get to sit in the lovely garden.
