Came for an unexpected work trip. Easy to book, great value room. Not the largest, but adequate for the price. Food was fantastic and certainly a welcome suprise after a long day in meetings. Warm atmosphere in the pub and dog friendly with biscuits on the bar and a packet in the room! Would definitely come again and actually look forward to having more meetings down here if it means I can stop here!
Beautiful setting up a long road through the Minchinhampton common, surrounded by cows and horses. My welcome was warm, it was busy but was full of what were obviously locals all having a good time. My food was excellent. I asked for rice instead of potatoes and this was no issue. The key lime cheesecake was delicious. Thanks for a lovely meal 10/10. Return visit, just as amazing, Scotch egg, followed by fish and chips. Lovely staff and an excellent meal!
The team at The Old Lodge bought our wedding vision to life. Molly, the event coordinator, was attentive of every detail and request that we had. There were prompt responses to all our questions, and clarifications on elements that we were unsure about. Leading up to the day, nerves were eased through email and everything was accounted for. On the big day, Molly ensured that we were well looked after, keeping us to time and letting us know of anything that we should have been involved with. The whole team on the day were wonderful, bringing everything together so smoothly and without a hitch. We could not have asked for our wedding to go any better and it is a day we will never forget. A huge thank you to Molly and the whole team at The Old Lodge who worked tirelessly throughout the day and evening!, and who bought our wedding dream to life.
Great food and service. The hall can seem a little noisy due to the acoustics of i the open area and walls, but there are a number of smaller cosy rooms and tables in the original building. Either way the food is great and service was also very good. Will certainly go again.
Stayed here for my friends wedding! It’s an absolutely stunning hotel in a great location with shops nearby. The restaurants food wasn’t the best but the staff were friendly and lovely! If you’re ever there for a wedding book your cabs in ADVANCE as they don’t have many cabbies and they get booked up fast!!
Super friendly, very lively pub. Came for a festive lunch but not too many festive items on the menu. However, burger was declared delicious by DH and I very much enjoyed the cauliflower curry. Great service, fun atmosphere

Brought my dad here for lunch as we'd never been before. It was extremely busy when we arrived and we thought we'd be turned away but they found us a little table for 2. The food was really lovely and considering how busy they were came in good time. Staff were all really nice and helpful. Would definitely recommend it.
My family and myself hired The Old Lodge as the venue to hold a "Celebration of Life/wake" for my Mum who recently passed away. The Events Manager, Molly was more than helpful when planning the event and helped to plan the menu so that we could cater for vegetarians/celiac's requirements etc. The staff were really helpful and were always checking if we needed more teas/coffees etc., and the food was excellent. I would highly recommend The Old Lodge.
This pub is very out of the way and has a very cosy atmosphere, the staff are polite and did their job effectively. Although me and my group didn't stay long - it was a good place to get a pint and relax.Rooms: 4/5
