Nasty security. overpriced. Wasnt feeling well due to drinking on an empty stomach so they sent me out. This is fair enough and I was on my way out perfectly fine, and then the security guy decided to shove me into a table and then proceed to push me down a small set of stairs on the way out, for no reason.
Very rude staff, I had purchased a 9:30 ticket, it was 10:15 and I had asked a woman member of staff what was causing the wait and she said in response “does it matter?” Instead of politely saying she didn’t know. Also if you’re a person of colour it probably won’t be a good time. Lots of unfriendly faces also prepare to be pushed and shoved. Music is poor and toilets are horrid. Overall rubbish experience!
Timepiece is my favourite nightclub in Exeter on a Tuesday as there’s Latin music downstairs. Any other night I don’t recommend as it’s too crowded. Venom are quite expensive but otherwise you can have a deal of 3 VKs for 10 pounds which is amazing. I love the staff they’re quite nice :
kicked out my boyfriend in the middle of a diabetic emergency. very aggressive and manhandled him a lot for being in the bathroom?? bounces are definitely on a power trip. would not recommend, stick to fever!Food: 3/5
Definitely the best experience I’ve ever had a on a night out. The feeling you get when a friend says “shall we go to timepiece?” Is unrivalled. A wave of excitement, dread, fear, self pity, nervousness and realisation you’re in for an expensive night washes over you all at once. If you’ve ever been you’ll know what I’m talking about. Couldn’t imagine giving it anything other than five stars as I’m yet to participate in a better night out. For those struggling to understand how much I love this place here is a poem I wrote: In Timepiece's realm, where night's allure takes flight, A love affair unfolds, a beacon shining bright. Amidst the vibrant rhythms and pulsating beat, I find my solace, my joy, my ultimate retreat. Oh, Timepiece, beloved sanctuary of delight, Where music intertwines, igniting passions alight. Within your walls, a symphony of hearts does play, And my spirit dances, forever in your sway. With every step, my cares begin to fade, As I surrender to the magic that you've made. The dance floor's a stage, where inhibitions flee, And I'm embraced by freedom, completely wild and free. No other place can rival your enchanting grace, For in your hallowed halls, time finds no trace. From dusk till dawn, we revel in your splendid glow, As love and laughter intertwine, like rivers that freely flow. No night out compares, no other venue could prevail, For Timepiece, you're the pinnacle, the holy grail. In your embrace, memories etch upon my soul, And forever, you'll remain, my heart's deepest role. So, here's my ode to Timepiece, the love that never fades, A testament to the joy that within your realm pervades. Through nights of passion and sweet serenity, You'll forever hold my heart, my cherished sanctuary.
This place could be ace. Bartender was nice, beer was nice. Never eat the food from the vendor in the garden, definitely the worst food I've ever been cooked, without exaggeration. 2 fights in the courtyard from overly-boisterous, drunken gym lads in tight t-shirts. If you're reading this and match that description: have a word with yourself.
don’t come here if you’re black.Food: 1/5
After arriving with my group of six, 10 minutes before the supposed "closed doors" we were sent in to hunt for a table. We found a table of four, of three and yet there were none of six. We were forced to choose a table above the dance floor, where some of us were so far out we could not hear the conversation, but only gaze onto the people sitting down like zoo animals, but the awkward eye contact has a more lasting effect. A club being more expensive in drinks, is expected, but £8 for 2 jagerbombs is like a urinal; it is simply taking the piss. Unlike the actual service station toilets they have here. We tried to make the table better, by asking for a stool or even a bin to sit on. Alas, like varus and his legions they did not return. A fun night, as the night is what you make of it and the people you are with are what make the night the night, but the time is up for this place. Plus an epileptic wouldn't be afraid to come upstairs with the state of the light's there. Security were so lovely though, and looke looked for a new table. Would recommend coming earlier!
Probably the best nightclub in Exeter its ha a central location and has epic layout absolutely fantastic atmosphere on a summers evening as there is large outdoor seating area. Aswell as dance floor and DJ food is availible the place gets really really busy so I would advise you to get there early or you either won't get in or won't get a table if your planning on sitting outside I would also recommend a coat or jumper as it gets cold after the sun goes down
The bouncers were the worst I have ever witnessed! I know they can get aggressive but these were ridiculous! I got kicked out for no reason as I was walking out! And 3 bouncers got me in a headlock and bent my wrists back with a lot of force! The worst bouncers I have ever seen!
