This is a well organised escape the room. It's by far the most immersive that I've been to. However it's only issue is they decide the rooms into 12 minute intervals this makes the experience feel rushed. However it is still one of the better ones in London.
Really high production values, great challenges and a full experience from start to finish. Don't expect it to be easy, in a good way it makes you want to come back to try again!
I loved my first Escape Room experience, very polished and exactly hard enough that we didn't finish but almost did! I really liked the subtle Portal references throughout! Definitely trying this place again next time I'm in London, there's also many wonderful Hipster places to have amazing coffee and food just across the street!
A very fun and authentic experience. You need a minimum of 3 people to do it, but I'd recommend going with 4 or 5. Each puzzle is set up brilliantly, and the whole thing from start to finish is set up wonderfully. It all feels very authentic. It may seem quite expensive, but it's more than worth it.
Went here with some work colleagues. We all absolutely loved the whole experience from start to finish. We got really absorbed into the game thanks to great staff being in character, amazing level of set and prop detail and great story line. The best experience I've had in London. Go, you won't regret it.
We've done both of the games here. The Lance of Longinus is probably the best escape room in London. The production values are through the roof and the puzzles are interesting and engaging. Cannot recommend it enough. The new room, Celestial Chain, really sabotages itself with the structure. It maintains the same great production values but changes the structure to a more crystal-maze challenge room model. You only get 12 minutes in each room before you are rushed through. In practise this results in a constant state of confusion as you assess a new room, and repeated intense frustration as you are rushed on just as you are getting to grips with the puzzles in the room. It really annoyed us and we left with a profound sense of an opportunity wasted. In retrospect the puzzles were interesting and well designed, but we didn't have time to appreciate them as we rushed through. Really disappointing.
I will divide my review into two parts. Overall it was a good game but terrible customer service so I would not recommend time-run or go back myself. 1 Logistics and communication: I was booking the game for my birthday for about 15 friends. The person I was communicating with was very curt and condescending. During my conversation with him, he repeatedly said "AS per my email" in a dismissive manner even though what I was asking was not clear in the email. On the day of the booking London underground was on strike so it was impossible for us to make it to the venue. I called to ask if I could cancel at around noon and was told that the staff was already there game was at 6:45 pm so I couldn't cancel. I was eventually allowed to reschedule for a rescheduling fee of £30 pounds for each session. There was then some confusion when we were making the payment at the time of the game as I had agreed to a per person rescheduling fee and we still had to pay £30 even though 2 people did not show up game fee was already paid in full. The payment was demanded curtly during the debrief before the game began. 2 Game: the set was great and the actors were deep in their role. We passed through a number of rooms which all had a different feel- and for most parts were allowed to work autonomously. The time of the game and problem solving passed by fast as we were having fun.
The actors really sweet the scene and pull you in to this fun adventure. The rooms are all differently themes with varying puzzles to test your wits. No maths needed phew I'd recommend a team of 3, 4 Max otherwise the 4/5 person my be standing around too much and you don't want that to be you. This is true of all escape the room experiences.
This place is great fun. Much more high budget than the myriad of other puzzle rooms that I've visited over the last few years. Do make sure you do the first game they created, rather than the second. The first game is a bit more fun and well thought out than the second one.
That was easily the best of all "escape the room" I attended. No actors that try to prevent you from finishing too early because the riddles are not demanding enough. Just a lot of fun with solving logic puzzles with friends! And the atmosphere is really immersive.
