Our 5th visit in 9 years and not our last! The accommodation is amazing - clean, comfy and incredibly well stocked. It's a quiet, picturesque site with a number of pubs close by for food and drink. However, cooking is a breeze as the kitchen is so well equipped and there are some fab places to buy goods from locally. We have had a wonderful break and are not wanting to go home! Rooms: 2 bed or 3 bed available. All incredibly clean and spacious. Beds are very comfy! Nearby activities: Lots to do locally and much more within a n hours drive in all directions
It was already second time my wife and I decided to come here to relax. Awesome accommodation conditions, nice nature around, beautiful service at reception. Excellent place for walking in peaceful environment. Accommodation is very comfortable, kitchen is full of different kitchenware, bathroom is light with roof window, soup/shampoo/washing gels provided. Flat TV, DVD player, speakers, radio - all entertainment. I would recommend to come here to everyone.
Absolutely Beautiful, Lodges were fantastic kitted out with everything you need and a Comfy bed. We went for one with a Sauna and Hot tub. Could've stayed forever. So peaceful and Tranquil. Great few days away to completely unwindRooms: 5/5
Just spent a week at the location. We've stayed at a number of other locations through the same company, and they were all more modern lodges on sites that had either been refurbished or were new sites. This was the first site we have stayed at where the lodges are actually of wooden construction, rather then plastic composite and made to look like wood. The lodge was clean and comfortable, and had all the modern appliances you expect nowadays. The site was quiet and well placed for exploring the surrounding area. You can walk on the common next to the site which goes through a golf course, and if you are interested in WW2 history, there is an area called the 'Atlantic Wall' to the south on the common, and about a 20min walk from the site. There you will find a large concrete wall constructed during WW2 by Canadian troop for training, in amongst the trees. But, be aware that although it is an area which has full public right of way access, it is still used by the MOD for troop training, as we found out when inadvertently finding ourselves in the middle of a group soldiers running around firing assault rifles! It wasn't an issue, the soldiers were aware of our presence and were friendly. I found it fun, my wife less so!!
Lovely peaceful setting. The lodges are very well equipped home from home. The downside for us was the outside area where our hot tub was seemed a bit tatty could do with a make over. These lodges are very expensive so a bit more luxury on our private outside spaces could be better. The lodges also come with a sauna which we think are a waste of space.
Me and my partner stayed in the Corbett traditional. With hot tub and sauna literally had the best time and such beautiful lodges and touches. We shall definitely be returning next year. Cute little suitcase tin and Tilly the duck which you get to keep. There’s a pub called Duke of Cambridge which is a few minutes walk. Food was ok but nothing amazing. We then went for a Sunday lunch at the barley mow which was out of this world. Nice 15/20mins walk would definitely recommend. Thankyou for an awesome stay
The lodges are so close to each other, looks like they've been superglued together. No privacy just a tiny little area with a load of lodges dumped in a tiny space, they're so close to each other you can hear people climb out of bed and flush the toilets.
Spotless, well equipped lodges. Peaceful, tranquil, location. Friendly helpful staff. Perfect stay.Rooms: 5/5
We’ve visited this part of the country before, it’s a kind of family tradition now - but it’s usually in Winter and we use our accommodation as a base to access London and other attractions. We usually spend less on our accommodation - but this place has always been on my radar. This holiday is special for me as it started originally by my husband buying tickets for a concert at Wembley - it was an incentive to recover from being really poorly. So I had my heart set on this place and honestly - totally worth the cost. We are in a 3 bedroom master has en suite bathroom traditional style lodge, with fully equipped kitchen, living/dining room and utility room. It’s beautifully classic and has every appliance and convenience that I have at home. The lodges are spacious and solid and very private. The design and attention to detail makes this place really stand out for me, I love it and would heartily recommend it. The retreat is beautifully maintained and has an exclusive, tranquility magnified by a pond, mature trees and the geese, ducks and birds that populate it. They encourage recycling and have an eco friendly approach to everything and a genuine respectful attitude towards the natural world. It’s like a little slice of heaven for me and I could happily lay around all day enjoying the ambience. However, we do have other plans, including visits to London. So if you are like us and transport links to London are important it’s a few minutes drive away from Farnham Railway station. There is an excellent service from there to London Waterloo, taking you right to the South Bank. All in all I would say - this place totally delivers in every way and is definitely a quality place to stay, so if you can afford it, book it, you will not be disappointed.
Great place for a relaxing retreat: the accommodation comes with fully equipped kitchen, including soap and clothes for dishes. Dishwasher available. Rooms are clean and comfortable. Perfect for families and dogs. Nice local pub is a must for take away or eat in. Only minus : no bbq available.
