WOW.. This pub had a little bit of a heavenly Chef. My food was fantastic from starter to pud. My main was the 5 Star attraction with beautifully cooked duck with Kirsch Cherries, Chantaney Carrots, braised red wine Cabbage with roasted duck fat potatoes and a tasty Jus. Starter was tasty with a big portion and sticky toffee pud delivered me a well deserved sugar rush for my drive home. Loved it. Free parking just off the M1 in a quiet spot. Thanks
Lovely little pub. Hidden away but busy. Food was lovely. Very poor vegetarian or vegan options. All sandwiches were meat and came with chips lovely but over salted. I asked for a cheese and fried onion sandwich which they were more than happy to provide. However, they then charged for a cheese and ham sandwich with chips which I didn't have. Overall happy with friendliness of staff, atmosphere and quality of food. But felt it overpriced and lacked variety for non meat options.
The most amazing Sunday lunch. The best beef I've had in years and a very generous portion. Yorkshire puds were huge and wonderfully crisp. Lovely selection of veg served separately. . A group of 10 of us went, it was worth travelling for. Would deffinatly return.
Warm welcome. Nice cosy table for 4. Delicious well presented meals. Lovely friendly staff. Very good value for money. Tip: share a car as parking is very limited.
Lovely food, great service but I can't go more than 3* We had a table booked for 4.15pm on the basis of advertised 20% discount on all food and drink if minimum 2 course meal was had if your table was booked before 4.30pm photo attached We decided to have a couple of drinks first before dining. Our order went in a bit after 5pm. On getting the bill there was no discount, contrary to advertised deal. The charming lady server turned a bit grumpy and stated orders had to be into the kitchen before 4.30pm. If you want the deal get your order in!!!
The best Sunday lunch served here. Always piping hot food. I can never manage a dessert on the day but like to buy one to take home for later. Staff always give service with a smile. Will be back again very soon.
Utterly disgusted with the appalling lack of customer service skills displayed at this dated public house. The staff were by far the rudest, most unprofessional and discourteous I have ever experienced in my time and I have eaten in hundreds of eating establishments. It’s a shame because the food was above average, however the staff who work front of house are much too be desired. Toddlers show more decorum.
Newly reopened. Had mothers day sitting booked, can not fault any thing even if there was a small delay getting seated on a bussy day like mothers day.! We were on a later booking service and food 5 To all the staff .. for getting through the day..
Great food but why don't restaurants ever ask you if you'd like any condiments when they take your order....then they could arrive with the meal rather than 5 mins later
Well what a recommendation by my mum. I normally take them with more than a pinch of salt. However on this occasion I was more than happy to have tried the tiger inn. The food was simply superb. I haven’t had calves liver cooked so well in years. Left me wanting more. Every course was delicious. The staff were also attentive in an unobtrusive way, making our lunch a great experience. For the quality of the food £14.99 for two courses was an absolute pleasure to pay. Thanks mum and to the tiger inn we will see you again very soon. Keep doing what you are doing!
