Wonderful gem of a place in the middle of posh Yorkshire and therefore a desirable location free from the stresses and strains of the world. Excellent food was served to us at both dinner and breakfast with plenty of choice and high quality ingredients. Decor of the hotel is perfect and the bedroom was warm and luxurious. Couldn't ask for more.
Enjoyed a really lovely family meal on Sunday here. John & James the managers are always so welcoming that it is a pleasure to visit. Had the Sunday roasts and kids had fish & chips and toad in the hole all amazing food. We will back.
Fabulous place to relax after a busy day in Harrogate. The staff so friendly and helpful. The room had a bed so big it had it's own postcode . Food was perfect. Black pudding scotch egg when you cut it the yolk ran.
Fantastic food whether in the bar or beautiful restaurant area. Proper British gastro pub food and highly recommended. The staff are excellent and can’t do enough to help. One of those destination pubs for a special occasion.
Lovely Sunday lunch, pleasant staff and surroundings. Only criticism, our table although looked pretty and was set nice, was sticky. Shame as it just let them down BUT we defo will visit again.

Great country pub with a lovely hearty menu plus a great place to pop in for a cosy drink. Very friendly staff and a really good bar choice. Lots of space and great service compliments the menu and selection.
A wonderful country Inn in the picturesque village of Arkendale, handy for Harrogate and Knaresborough. The four bedrooms are all beautifully appointed . The menu in the cosy restaurant had plenty of choice for everyone and the food itself was outstanding. John, James and their team made us feel more than welcome and were both friendly and professional. This was our third visit and we are looking forward to the next.
Amazing BBQ ribs. Loads of tasty meat with a gorgeous sauce. Couple of minor issues with meal mix ups hence 4 stars, but the waiting staff were wonderful.
Lovely village hotel. We joined friends for dinner. Nice atmosphere and great food. The service was a bit disappointing.Service: 3/5
