A nice well kept caravan site with good facilities. Only 1 dog bin right at the entrance. Pitches are grass and not very level. Showers and toilets kept very clean with a couple of dodgy locks. Children's play area was sturdy, clean and well maintained. Management team were the main downfall. Apparently they forgot we were arriving and our pitch was already occupied. Not on site when we arrived and not answering phone, just an answer phone. We had to wait nearly half an hour for a response to our numerous calls and messages. Once we pitched up we never saw them again for the whole of our 5 days.
We stayed in Garden Cottage for a long weekend with our family and son who has complex medical needs and is disabled. We had a wonderful stay. The cottage had everything we needed: plenty of parking space for the large vehicles we need beautiful bedrooms and bathrooms for the whole family suitable accommodation including an electric profiling bed for our son. It's so difficult to get good quality accomodation of this size which includes disabled access - what you see on the website is definitely what you get. The ground level was fully accessible for him to get around although access to the grounds was a bit tricky in wet weather with the wheelchair so we didn't bother but I am sure it can be negotiated in dry weather. Great location - plenty of wildlife we had owls perching on the fence! to see and only short distances in the care to many local places Will definitely be returning! Debbie & family
We thoroughly enjoyed our stay which was made extra special by the wardens Kim and Neil who went to every effort to make sure everything was right for us and obviously take pride in how the site is kept and run. The site is in a lovely part of the country with lots of walks on the doorstep and a very nice friendly pub within a short walk which serves good food. It is a lovely site but if we had one observation to make it would be nice to have some pitches which are hard standing for caravans especially when staying later in the year as we did.
A absolute gem !! We were made welcome as soon as we arrived at the site, nothing seemed to much. Everything from staff to toilet block were fantastic, the disabled/family bathroom is well thought out, easy access and spotless. If a quiet break away from the stresses that life throws at you this is most definitely the place !!! Only one problem we had to come home but we are planning on returning to this little slice of heaven. Thankyou all and see you soon Tracy and John
A little gem of a campsite hidden away in a walled paddock. Spotlessly clean and warm toilet and shower block. The wardens are friendly and accommodating. Just a 15 minute walk into the village. The Bosville Arms is dog friendly and serves very nice food - just be sure to book ahead.
