Beautiful riverside pub with two outdoor terraces. Traditional interior to the front with modern extension food and toilet area to the rear. Visited on a Tuesday in June and managed to get a nice table on the top terrace. Staff were friendly and welcoming. Ordered a pepperoni pizza and a bucket of chips to share at 12om. The chips arrived from the main kitchen in around 5 minutes and were the perfect eating temperature by the time the pizza arrived from the outdoor terrace at around 12:15. Really tasty food and a perfect light lunch between two. Imagine weekends get very busy, especially on a nice day. Will definitely return
Fabulous spot when it's sunny! Absolute sun trap on the terraced gardens, with a great view of the riverside below. Decent pints and the smell from the fresh pizza and burger grill on the terrace is definitely worth investigating
What a great little spot, just by the river and park. Friendly staff, great selection of drinks. Fantastic food with a selection to suit most tastes. The chips in this place must be the best in Yorkshire. Indoor and outdoor seating, currently with a giant teepee. Wood fired pizza oven and outdoor BBQ for the burgers. I really enjoyed the visit. Many thanks.
Sat outside and enjoyed a decent San Miguel, the outside space is fantastic albeit not very clean. The very young staff attempted to clear our table on two occasions but left dirty napkins and cheap sachets of tomato sauce from the previous table occupants. It put us off eating here so we moved on.
Quick service, lovely food and lovely pint. Great location and reasonably priced. Lots of outside seating available.
I was going to walk past because it was so busy. Decided not to. Feet were aching I was hungry and fancied a drink. We told it would be 45 mins wait for food which put me off. But decided to wait..... drinks were lager, so no problem there. No fish and chips which the wife grumbled about, but a busy bank holiday, they sold out! Ordered hot baguette with chips as second choice. It was ace! Proper chips not frozen. Staff were brilliant. Tables cleared as soon as they were vacated. Superb staff attention and attitude. Toilets clean. Can't fault it
Tasty fresh cooked food. Quick and friendly service. Lovely pint of the Worlds End Ale, and Erdinger. Nice outdoor area to sit at.
Great location with amazing views. Stunning views from outdoor area. Really popular bar with locals, amazing selection of alcohol. Fast service and delicious food. Extra plus they are dog friendly so it was big plus for us.
Nice clean pub, good atmosphere, suitable for families. Busy but served quickly. The food looked nice, bit pricey, a couple of us ate here. The beer let it down though, two flat pints, however the issue was dealt with and beer replaced by a friendly staff member. I think maybe a bit more training on pulling beer is needed
Staff very friendly nice selection of beers, dog friendly. Plenty of space to eat and drink.
