Restaurant on a weekday night wasn’t too crowded. It’s a typical old English pub with wooden furniture and upholstered seats. You order at the counter and they serve the food. Wide selection of beer they had. Food was ok not exceptional. We had bao buns, fish and chips, calamari. Prices are reasonable.
Very welcoming, friendly staff. The drinks are very reasonable priced,I also ordered a Alabama BBQ burger which came along with chips and onion rings, decent size meal priced around eleven pounds, meal was nice. The venue itself was clean, quiet which was a bonus for me as don't like places abit to lively,a must for anyone wanting to watch football,horse/dog racing and I think they even had cricket on other screens. Only downer was/is you have to pay a car parking fee if you drive and its not a set amount as you have to pay by the hour to which I paid 3.50p for a three hour stay.
Had a quick drink and snack, was really busy due to Live football on TV but service was still really quick.
Well that was a delight. Not so busy for a lunchtime escape. We had a drink and the steak sandwich. This was cooked as I expected. The portion was larger than I had anticipated for the price a suprise these days and the cut of meat was gristle free. Add into this mix some friendly service and a clean space. I'm more than happy to recommend this.
Popped into the woolpack last Sunday for a bite to eat after doing a bit of shopping and can honestly say the roast I had was amazing! Beef was cooked perfectly, roasties were crisp and the Yorkshire puddings were the best I've ever had. Staff were also very welcoming and attentive. Will definitely be returning
The most welcoming place in Norwich. Manager went out of his way to help us we were visiting the town. Nice atmosphere, food, drinks, old & interesting art on the walls, sport on the tv, all good.
Terrible place to have a drink, workers using racial slurs about Polish people I'm not Polish but it's very disturbing to witness without even considering the consequences.
Good night of fun. Friday nights is Karaoke nights. Fair few drinks promos too
Good pub on edge of city centre. Friendly bar staff. Good selection of drink. Good menu at reasonably priced food and good quality. Will certainly go again.
Fabulous pub with a brilliant atmosphere! Staff are all very welcoming, especially Linz who always greets customer with a smile.
