Great, slightly out the way little pub with local but cosy atmospheric feel. Impressed that the Christmas tree is up by mid November Four real ales and a good selection of lagers together with traditional bread rolls, flapjacks and packets of Haribo starmix They were playing darts on the night I visited.
A very interesting pub with an excellent range of beers. We caught it on an evening with live music and it was very busy indeed. It’s a bit spit and sawdust but full of atmosphere and character.
Great spot for a pint and some lunch with friends and a pup.
Stopped for breakfast Saturday morning with my daughter. Standard breakfast was the perfect size for both of us and very tasty. The pub is situated in a quiet alleyway between the market and a busy pedestrian area, cafe style outside seating and friendly staff make this well worth a visit.
Crammed for music nights. Guinness on tap and poured well. Smoking area is out front. Tucked away little venue, but still popular.
It's a pub, ales are OK with a decent enough selection. Prices are competitive for the centre. Nothing bad but nothing brilliant either. A safe bet
