Favourite Inn pub in England. Have stayed multiple times. Staff are always really pleasant. The rooms at the back are all nicely renovated, dog friendly and great selection of tea & ground coffee in the room. If you’re 3 or 4 people, The Golden Pheasant Room is perfect with two double bedrooms in a sort of mini-apartment. Highlight is eating in the pub in the evening - the food is superv, and they have a great gin selection. A 1.5 hr drive from London makes this almost a bi-annual trip for me now.

Booked this last minute for spontaneous Easter weekend away, lovely room, friendly staff and delicious food. Was very dog friendly and had a good solid fire. Varying lengths of walk possible from just outside the back gate. Really excellent country weekend all round! And we got a surprise easter egg from the Woolpack on Easter Sunday! Such a lovely, unexpected touch - thank you!

Great staff, beautiful pub and a great beer garden. Would definitely recommend it. The burgers are great and the fish was perfect, light and fluffy.

+ Really good food, good service. A bit pricey, but worth it. - don’t like it when gratuity is added to the bill. I’d like to decide myself how much I tip (in this case it would have been the same 😉)

Very nice pub that's a bit out of the way. Food was excellent along with great service. Was with a party of 8 so wait between meals was reasonable.
