Tried to get an appt for my mum who had an issue with her eye. Phoned in the morning in to be told there were no appts and to take her to A&E. I asked was I being told to take her to A&E because it was an emergency or because they had no appts. The receptionist then said take her to A&E because it could be sepsis. I hadn't given any detailed information about my mums eye problems, certainly not enough for someone who isn't medically trained to triage it. Inwasnt asked any triage questions at all. Saying go to A&E is awful, we are told repeatedly not to do this as A&E are strained so much. We ended up paying privately for mum to see a GP today. Mum didn't need to go to A&E but we were told she should have been seen today had it been triaged. There's no triage system in place at this surgery, clearly all appts go first thing in the morning and no emergency appts available for the rest of the day. This really needs addressing as many surgeries now have effective triage systems in place so proper information can be taken and decisions made on the basis of need, not rather who phones up at 8am. Our experience today was awful and worrying.nnI suggest patients contact CQC and fill out their feedback forms otherwise nothing will improve.
17 days now I’ve been trying to get my 1 year old seen keep getting fobbed off with no appointments available as we only have 1 doctor in the surgery. What is the point in even being open if you can’t provide the service you are ment to be able to provide. You phoned bang on 8 and you’re 24th in the cue all to see 1 doctor!!!!! Not good enough
This 5 star review is for Keisha on reception and we really hope she gets to know about it. We were having major problems with the NHS app. Keisha was very friendly, diligent and polite. She went above and beyond to sort this problem out which wasn't easy and needed input from the technical support team. Full marks.
Been trying for a week to get an appointment after getting a message FROM MY DOCTOR asking me to call to book an appointment to urgently review my test results. Just keep getting told to call back as all appointments have gone. Absolutely awful appointment setting process, please try and do better!
Trying to get appointment, for my husband who has terminal cancer, for over a week; the receptionists response? Take him to A&E! Let a seriously ill 80 year old sit for hours in the emergency dept?nThey don't care, it's despicable
