Had an amazing experience here. The waiting staff were wonderful and knew the menu inside out. Very pleased with our Sunday roasts. Lots to eat and great value.
Perfect quintessentially English country pub. My first visit to England in nearly 2 years & the much anticipated sunday roast & local ale met & exceeded expectations. Great food, selection of ales, accomodating. Well kept inside & out. Attentive, happy staff, great location. Thank you it was wonderful.
We had a takeaway roast dinner from The Woodcock Inn yesterday. I had a mixed children's roast dinner and my partner had a beef dinner, the portion sizes were great, very good value for money and delicious. Would highly recommend The Woodcock Inn and will definitely be back!! So nice to have a treat with all that is going on during this pandemic. First 2 pics of takeaway roast dinner 20/11/22- visited with a friend today for a Sunday roast and it did not disappoint. The portions were huge and the food a brilliant quality! Highly recommended. All tables were booked, which we thought was a brilliant sign, so would definitely phone in advance and book a table!
Many Many years have passed since the last time I visited and what a change! Beautiful presented beer garden which I didn't even know existed. The menu was varied and food was quickly served. Very helpful and pleasant staff. Good selection of ales and spirits. On a lighter note ! The gents restroom was 1000% better than 40 years ago when i last had need . Clean and fresh smelling.
Was made to feel very welcome,my hound was even cooked two sausages one for takeout! for only an extra £1 and he was given a bowl of water and treats. The food was great and the pub lovely and warm with a real fire.Well worth a visit if in the area again.Thanks.
Had the wild mushroom linguine and braised duck, was absolutely delicious - well worth the confusing drive to find this place.
Very enjoyable lunch at the Woodcock Inn. Made to feel very welcome including our 4 legged walking companions. Great food and a super friendly team. Looking forward to returning.
Lovely environment and the staff are very friendly and helpful. We went for the specials and it was one of the tastiest and best quality lamb I've ever had. And I can say the same for the starter, salmon filled with crab meat, so so delicious. The pub has a lovely garden. Will definitely be back soon.
We visited today and had dinner in the garden, starters were good, mains disappointing and a fairly long wait for both 1 hour for mains. We had the pate and superfood salad for starters, they were tasty and fresh. We both had steak for main which was disappointing, with pre-fried fries, mushroom was overly cooked and the steak rubbery and not very tasty. The sauces were both great we tried the stilton and peppercorn ones. Good service and friendly staff but would not visit again for food
Very friendly welcome. Food was fresh and tasty. One of the best chocolate brownie I have had. Would definitely go again. Very clean, lovely old pub with nice atmosphere
