I visited for lunch today.. I had the chicken strips to start, which were a little on the dry side, but tasty.. then I had The Peacock burger for my main.. and I can honestly say, that was the best burger I've had in a long time.. so juicy and tasty and the chips were lovely too!! Highly recommend you order a burger if visiting! Lovely traditional pub. Friendly staff. Clean and tidy.
Lovely country pub. Clean and tidy, good parking and lovely beer garden The food was ok but unfortunately not very hot and had to send back to heat up more. Staff was friendly and polite
Awful dinner. Called for a table, told to arrive before 9pm as kitchens close. Ordered before 9 and waitress came back saying only 70% of menu still applies as chef turned grill off. Ordered, same thing, 50% available, 3rd time ordered, 70% of the menu not available. In the end she brought the menu with 5 things we could order including chips. It was too late to go elsewhere by then. One of the dishes didn't come out and we had to chase and we were also overcharged. Would never return. Kids left hungry as tiny portions. No cares from the staff.
Good quality basic pub food served at reasonable prices. Warm Welcome. Good beer. Worth a visit.
A great find after visiting Sissinghurst. The traditional bar area gives way to a large dining space, lunch menu varied and exactly what we were looking for. Staff were brilliant too.

Absolutely bloody lovely. On our way to our holiday and we popped in as it's en route. Staff brilliant. My daughter recons she had the best Mac and cheese in the country. Really nice country pub. Nice well kept garden. Some areas have obviously just been painted however there is a little but of work to be done where we sat however if your a foody like you will appreciate the double cooked fries. Food was well presented and very simple with not to many items on the menu which is a good sign they can concentrate on the quality. Price wise wasn't particularly cheap however I would rather pay for better quality rather than fling and ding. Good job guys. Thanks for having us.
Loverly country pub with home cooked food. Very attentive staff and a food selection of beers. Definitely worth a visit if in the area.
