Food and drink was good value for money. All the food tasted nice, good portion sizes and went down a treat. Halloumi fries and the sweet potato fries are recommended. Staff were extremely nice, friendly and welcoming. Cannot fault them whatsoever. Tables and interior were clean and tidy. The bar next door was busy but we wouldn't have known as didn't hear any noise from there. No issues in getting a table, but it was Tuesday night. We didn't realise, but remember to use your Meerkat Meals voucher to get 25% off your meals Monday-Wednesday. We'll definately be back.
Went in today for lunch for the first time and it was delicious. I has the halloumi fries which normally comes with garlic mayo but I asked for sweet chilli dip, they were crispy and the cheese melted in my mouth. for mains I got the mix grill Kid-friendliness: Nice sized menu tailored for kids and friendly atmosphere Parking: Plenty of parking spots that would cover the majority of the buildings capacity Wheelchair accessibility: Easy access from the parking area/street to the entrance Dietary restrictions: Good selection of vegetarian/gluten free dishes
What a gem of a place . Went here for lunch with my apprentice and we where both pleasantly surprised . Pub grub done well and very cheap . I'll definitely be back
Had a lovely 3 course Christmas Dinner 2022. Good pre-selected choice and tasted good There were 10 of us Service was a little slow due to the fact they were down to 2 Chefs only. Under the circumstances serving staff and Chefs did very well. Can recommend
Not been for a while and was delighted I went. Food is lovely and great choice on the menu. Really good prices too. Definitely go back soon.Recommended dishesClucking Hot Stack Dirty Burger
Excellent food and great value, the food and the plates were hot and the beer cool. Will definitely be back.Food: 5/5
This is the second time in my wife and myself have been the Windmill for afternoon lunch. The service was brilliant we were shown to a table which was satisfactory as the Scottish open was on TV which I like. The food was just as delicious as the last time we both had Hunter's chicken. The chicken was cooked to perfection as well as the bacon. The chips were big, hot and delicious. The overall mark is 10 out 10. I am sure that my wife and myself will be back to try out the other parts of the menu in a few weeks time.
It was a nice night with the main guitar guest, the wee woman with the brown hair was quick with the service, food was lovely & was greeted with a nice welcome.
It may be a one of but I won't be back I arrived at 7:54pm got a menu I was on my own but had to wait for a couple of people to be served in front of me the lady behind the bar was on her own so drinks and food for the two people Infront off me so at 3 minutes past 8pm it's my turn and got refused because it was after 8pm I could not believe it I told I was behind the people she had just served but no that was it i was on business in the area and saw the place it brought back memories for me I live in England but my very first pub I ran was called the windmill for bass now M&B witch is now a Tesco I trained and opened some of the very first sizzling pubs for M&B for many years then ended up with Ember inn so i know the job very well what a shame I was really looking forward to my dinner that evening I travel into Scotland every week for business so I will think on when I start looking for places to have my dinner I was very disappointed to be refused that evening from a disgruntled customer
Great food. Great prices friendly staff
