Excellent food served by lovely staff. Would advise making a booking before going.
Service was really good. Food was nice. Good portion size at a reasonable cost.
Hubby and I were treated to a meal at The Rolling Barrel tonight by my bro and sis in law. Lovely decor and comfortable seating. Meals were outstanding, fresh, hot and delicious, couldn't have faulted anything.
Been a few times.. friendly staff, lovely atmosphere, great food. We got 2 meals for £14 during week. Reasonable prices. Great background music nice volume level to hear ur conversations. Will be back again. Greatx
Lovely wee restaurant/bar food is lovely. Also has a kids menu. Staff are lovely as well. Would definitely recommend the Lentil Soup.

Asked to get my sauce separately rather than being poured over my crispy haggis fritters to be told no we can't do that so asked for it on the side of my plate so that it would not make my fritter soggy one answer NO
Good quality food and portion size at a fair price. Can't ask for more than that. I will be returning again soon
Was disappointed as ordered Poached Salmon stating served with vegetables, cream sauce and boiled potatoes - it came out swimming in sauce, the vegetables were dried peas only and we got 4 marble sized potatoes - the only good thing was it was piping hot.
This just has to be one of the worst bar/diners in the Glasgow area to find fault with. I reviewed the Rolling Barrel in 2018 & in between then & now there has been all sorts of pressures on the hospitality industry, but in my view, this place has risen above the problems that have presented themselves over the Covid era & still rolls onward as one off the best eating establishments in the area, mainly thanks to the quality of the food on offer from their wide choice of meals on the menu and the dedication of the waiting staff & the guys working behind the scenes in the kitchen. Thanks to the owner Angelo who has managed to retain much of his hard-working staff over this period, such as Fiona at front of house & Maggie in the kitchen. If, on occasion, you have to wait a bit longer than normal to be served your meal, then that will be due to the fact the restaurant is very busy with customers, which is testament to its popularity as a great eating place.
