I was looking for an afternoon tea place without having to go all the way to Mayfair. This place advertised afternoon tea on their website, and so I booked. And oh boy what an experience for a pub! £20 with Prosecco, the food was perfect and the Chef even added a serving of fresh strawberries. Thank you, keep up the good work!Food: 5/5
Popped in for a quick drink after work. We sat outside. It started to rain but not much. Nice vibe, quite busy inside, but not overly full. Lots of nice local people.Service: 5/5
We enjoyed the food. This a gentle urban pub, quite oriented to sports watching. It seems to be well prepared with regards to the pandemic safety measures, even with tables fitted with a particular TV screen. The staff was kind, although not the most stunning. Pretty good chicken wrap. Good option before or after the visit to Highgate if you arrive by underground.
Interesting one this. Walked in on Thursday lunch time, nice clean pub. One member of staff alone for almost an hour. Saw her name on the payment screen “Liah”. Extremely friendly and hard working. However a few beers were not available. Badges on clear display yet product no longer stocked. A local told me some had not been sold for over a month now. At the minimum management should remove badges off of beer fonts and replace with duplicate badge of a product that they actually sell. Sheer laziness
Spacious and nicely designed pub. We had a breakfast here. Prices are pretty low but muffin in my eggs rarebit was a bit hard. Also, they served me tea in a dirty cup but were happy to replace it when I noticed it. I felt it wasn't enough maple syrup on the pancakes, but there was no possibility to add more even though I was ready to pay for it. No baby changing facilities.
 Archway  £3.80 Fosters A simple locals pub that’s had a recent refurb. . The Whittington Stone sits at the bottom of Highgate Hill and is just a short walk from Archway tube. Outside the pub you will find Dick Whittingtons stone of which this pub bears its name. . This post war pub was built in the 60’s at the same time as the Girdlestone estate which is located at the back of the pub. The architecture here is classic estate pub which nowadays is not such a common site as many estate boozers poured their last pint a long time ago. Inside, the decor is modern, cheery and has a slight Wetherspoons feel to it. This is a good size one bar pub which is set out in an “L” shape with plenty of seating. There are comfy intimate booths which have small TV’s and there are a few large TV’s located around the walls., this pub also has a pool table. . I visited on a Sunday lunchtime and the pub was packed, the atmosphere was lively and upbeat. There was a good mix of clientele in from families to workmen young to old, this pub has a local pub feel to it. The Guvnor here was constantly on the go serving, cleaning and keeping everything ticking over, clearly a man who is passionate about his trade. . The beer choice was limited and I decided on a Fosters which isn’t a regular choice of mine but it was a decent pint and under four quid. There’s plenty of food on offer at reasonable prices. . The Whittington Stone is a local community hub which also looks after the less frequent visitors too. This pub is simple, comfortable and welcoming. It's very busy pub but under staff. The atmosphere is good. The food is very slow and average. They don't have fresh salad. The fried cauliflower is quite brown.Food: 3/5
Great find! Went in for one drink before heading out and ended up staying for the night. Food was AMAZING! Pool table, big screens, tv in your booth. Literally the pub that has everything!
Lovely traditional pub, perfect to pass an hour while waiting to check in to the nearby premier inn. Good food friendly staff and a welcoming atmosphereFood: 5/5
Great people working there, quite a local atmosphere, great price deals burger + a pint of beer for 10 pounds. Yet, food is of very mediocre quality, more like fast food.
